Evenin' all - no I'm not a bobby I just like saying it!

First day back at school for dd - apparently "it will be easy cos we're doing Roald Dahl and I've read all his books so I can have a rest till Christmas!" Maybe not the response teacher mummy wanted to hear but fair enough. Ds starts reception next week but dh is taking him cos I will be looking after my lot.

Today was gruesome historical stories, followed by a large dose of skeletons and body parts so pretty much standard stuff really:rotfl:

Got in to work 4 minutes after the planned 8am but in my defence the heavens had opened and the drains were overflowing and I decided that sandals and my floaty trousers would have to be changed for black trousers and wellies!!

Think I've cracked microwave popcorn... 2 tbsp water in a bowl, corn in the bowl, plate on top. Microwave until it pops (takes ages, as the water has to boil, but no oily pan to deal with). I think I'll still make it with oil sometimes as it's quicker, but I didn't have the right pan available today so thought I'd try this :D

Dustykitten - huge THANK YOU for the Disney cards - dd was dancing round the kitchen when they arrived today - she loves getting post :)

MG - I'm not around enough when work kicks in to go and really give the 'other side' all it deserves is there any way the new financial challenges could be put on this side too?

:eek::eek: I take you have applied pressure and if necessary holding it aloft to help stem the flow. My dad ground the end of his 2 fingers off once (don't ask how a stupid man DIY accident that could have been avoided) and they asked as the hospital if he still had the tops. Nope he'd taken them off using an electric sander :eek:

MG my old cat used to do this, got more pee over the side of the box we used as protection than the actual litter tray.

  • It's still bleeding (a bit less than before), but as I washed the chopped off bit down the sink (no, not on purpose, I didn't notice it until the onion went red), they won't be sewing it back on!

Actually, they won't be sewing it back on because it will not be visiting the hospital. TMIF and sharp stabby things do not get on :D

I am down your way at the end of September so if my time allows we might be able to meet for a coffee. Only problem is it would have to be after work (teatime ish) I will be in the Bay.

Yep ok with me, easy to get to the bay
