Actually, they won't be sewing it back on because it will not be visiting the hospital. TMIF and sharp stabby things do not get on
I agree with Claire. If it is still bleeding by the time you read this, please go to A & E.But how can you know what you want till you get what you want and you see if you like it?0 -

Missed this earlier. I used to work as a chef. First thing to do is raise the cut above your head and apply pressure. Then clean it uo whe it has stopped bleeding. Obviously that's what waved me washing my fingertips down the plug hole0 -

Did we work in the same kitchen? In the same era? More recently, the emphasis has been on re-attaching the 'tip'. There should be a protocol in a commercial situation (sorry, no help in a domestic scenariao).
I do know of one instance where a fingertip arrived ahead of the finger - cue an interesting situation. :rotfl::rotfl:But how can you know what you want till you get what you want and you see if you like it?0 -
My OH did this quite recently and they gave him this cool 'glue' that stopped the bleeding. It seemed a bit stingy mind
No stabby things though! We had friends staying with us at the time, and they arrived to find us gone, a knife on the table and a trail of blood leading to the front door :rotfl: Hope you're okay!!

i sliced the top of my right midle finger when using a meat slicing machine - i was cutting parma ham and you have to push it hard to get the thin slices. of course, the middle finger is longer than the rest...... see where i'm going?:o the skin grew back with no side effects... though i don't know where the tip went... :rotfl:
then i have also sliced the tip of my right little finger using a y shaped veg peeler and peeling butternut squash! I have little white patch on the end of my finger. :cool:Cats don't have owners - they have staff!!DFW Long Hauler Supporter No 1500 -
I am sorry to admit that due to big scaredy cat tendancies, I wrapped it up in beaucoup de plasters and went to bed. I had a peek this morning, and it's stopped bleeding!!! Wooo! It looks very pretty!
Thanks for all your concern
Here we go again - can't be as bad as yesterday can it - it's one day closer to the weekend! Whoop!0 -

Our by cat has just decided to use the cat litter tray by crouching in the try - and peeing over the side. What size bladders do cats have anyways?? Could put DS2 to shame the flood!!!
Remind me of this when we are all rich fabulous and famous

Although our cat seems to manage to use the litter tray, he then takes ages to move the litter about to cover it up, usually scattering it all over the kitchen floor and sometimes is pawing the floor where there is none - difficult to explain but just so sweet!scaredy_cat wrote: »i sliced the top of my right midle finger when using a meat slicing machine - i was cutting parma ham and you have to push it hard to get the thin slices. of course, the middle finger is longer than the rest...... see where i'm going?:o the skin grew back with no side effects... though i don't know where the tip went... :rotfl:

Eeek - this is why I don't cook!

As someone who faints at the sight of blood and gore, I have speed-read the last few posts :eek:....
Glad it has stopped bleeding!
I was late home from a work meeting in the Big Smoke yesterday, very tired and didn't organise food for today. This morning had a flash of inspiration in the shower, and now have a storecupboard meal bubbling away on the stove (ratatouille). Will take some to work in my wide-mouthed vac flask, and have the rest tonight with left over chicken. Haven't done hot food for work for ages, and it's good to remember how easy it is, if ingredients are to hand. And it's good not to put that mental barrier up - "I don't have time"; "it's too difficult" etc.
This is a full on week at work and may have to work some extra to my normal 3 days. Let's see how it goes!
Have a good day everyone, and look after your fingers!
GQ xoxIf you have a talent, use it in every which way possible. Don't hoard it. Don't dole it out like a miser. Spend it lavishly like a millionaire intent on going broke.

MG - I'm not around enough when work kicks in to go and really give the 'other side' all it deserves is there any way the new financial challenges could be put on this side too?
I'd love to but this month has lots of challenges from the Mentors and there are issues with copyright etc - remember Martin owns everything that's posted n here IYSWIM.
Just the sort of situation we set the Matrix up for.

Feeling much brighter today - less in a panic about the perceived "lack" of funds and instead concentrating on "abundant creativity" - thanks to the Matrixettes I have quite a few ideas to work on.
What a difference a day makes

Have made an overnight decision - the ladies of the Matrix have decided that "tutorials" are a way to go for the new project. So now that DS1 is at school am going to convert our schoolroom in to my MFi3 base so that everything is in one place, so I am not working off the kitchen table all the time and I can have my inspirational stuff around me.
Time to grab some packing boxes
Be busy ladies
