Yum, I'm another risotto fan - DD makes 'magic' risotto, hers is the best I've ever had, and our ingredients are usually bottom of the fridge veggies :) My mum made a gorgeous roasted tomato baked risotto yesterday, nomnomnom. I've just had a sandwich and a cupasoup but fancy risotto........

Would someone please PM me a total idiot's guide to how to get on to the Matrix please? I've got various passwords, and am not sure which ones go where....

I NEED to join the September 1st challenge - I have to make about £100k somehow to be able to buy a more suitable house, shame I've already sold most of my CDs, DVDs and work full time already, so not sure how I can make moolah. Maybe matched betting is a thing to look at......I've looked at how much of a mortgage I could get these days and because my salary is much lower since I stopped commuting to London, my mortgageability is much lower too, so if, as and when I sell, I'd have less to spend than my current house is worth.

Anyway, back from a lovely weekend away, where I was able to read the thread a bit but not post. Phew, "you lot don't half talk" :):)

Kittikins - I'm afraid I'm not a huge amount of help as I've now got all the settings saved... But you have to put one username and password in, and then another one - so you have to go through two login stages.

I discovered I was almost out of risotto rice, so have improvised with barley, wheat, pudding rice and millet to make enough for it to be worthwhile. I also added spinach as well qs the dried mushrooms... And the inevitable ground linseed... I'm also having a glass of wine, because I feel I should. I'm exhausted, bored, fed up and seem to just keep waiting for each day to be over which is not how I want to feel. I have lost interest in food (which is so not me) although I suppose losing intert in wine will be good for my health and finances. I really hope I start to feel better soon as I really don't like this 'what's the point' feeling I'm getting wt the moment.

On the positive side, my brother called to day, clearly having spoken to my mother as it turned out he was checking whether I would be able to make the cake for Saturday. So I said I had no idea ... And they're going to buy one. So one less thing to do, and now I don't have to go along if I don't feel like it on the day. I still don't have a present either... I have no idea what a I can give a one year old that will meet with parental approval!

Greenbee, if it helps I am in the glums today too. You are not alone. Is there any kind of activity that you could do that is a bit unusual for you? A trip out somewhere maybe. I think that you may be suffering the post op blues. Not unusual. Gentle hugs and you know where we are for a little weep if you need one.

Thanks guys... Can't really get out due to AF being (as predicted by the consultant) very unpleasant. My GP was clearly right to worry about how I would cope, although there is nothing I can do except try to cope. Matters have not been improved by my failure to squish a spider that was running around near the celing which I now can't locate. It wasn't huge, but is one of the fat ones that I really don't like. Probably lack of company isn't helping, and once you're out of circulation people seem to forget about you very quickly.

Anyway, I need to stop feeling sorry for myself and try to get some things done tomorrow.

Just back from my olds and zoomed through all posts and yes you lot can talk!

Hugs Greenbee hope you are feeling better soon (although was reading so fast initially I thought you were suffering from Approved Foods:o)

Had a nice time away but all shattered after driving round country, entertaining olds and kids, and then trying to get kids to behave at an all grown-up 90th birthday party for a lady I grew up with - they were little stars and sat through some of the most dire speeches ever with barely a murmur of boredom.

On the £ raising front have been thinking how I can increase my income using skills I already have so am going to investigate proof reading (since I do it all the time for school) and writing since my mum nearly died laughing when I was retelling a story about a failed facial I had, and she suggested I get it sent off and published. Don't know if anyone here has any ideas of where to start with either of these ideas? Am not on the other side yet but might have to ask to go over there soon.
