Greenbee, how right you are about being off the radar. Since moving to Wales I hardly hear from my "friends".
How about us having a virtual party for you? Unfortunately I am away the next two days. Hmmm how many people can skype at once? Should we have a skype party in a few days? Kind of like a sleepover PJ party

    Mugs!!!! Mugs!!!!! Mugs!!!!!!

Go on -how many have you honestly got?

Do you have four plain white elegant china mugs siting in splendid islation on a pristine shelf?

Or do you have a dozen or so mugs crammed into a cupboard that threatens to become a tsunami of broken crockery everytime you open the door?

So today your challenge is another 15 minute one: To collect every mug that you can find, wash them, dry them and line them up.
Just a quick delurk and I will go back to carry on re reading.
I have 12 there are 4 of us in the house. BUT we have 3 drinks needing mugs a day and I only put the dishwasher on 1 a day. So if I didn't have more mugs than strictly necessary I would be doing more washing up.....On the other hand it does mean that once a day, all the mugs are back on the shelf..., so do I get a brownie point:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

GreenBee - Is there something that will bring you joy that you can do fairly easily ... a distraction while you are feeling so pants???

Just thinking that if you can find something fun that you can manage, it might keep the unease at bay (Ideas - to stick a few pieces in a jigsaw, or some colouring in, or learn to knit/crochet, or some strategy computer game/shoot-em up, or on-line chess)

For you all - yesterdays challenge form MrsB

We are nearly at the end of our thirty days of challenges, so if you have managed to achieve even one you should be feeling pretty chipper right now.

Today your challenge is to go seeking through your home to find yourself a book to use as a journal for further exercises.

It should be beautiful - so if is not, can you get creative about decorating your own book - remember how you used to cover books before returning to school in the fall? Could you find some lovely paper, beautiful fabric or something even more creative?

Take this book and put in your "place of your own" - a statement of the creativity and growth to come.

  • Morning Matrix. Hope everyone is okay, and for those that aren't, I am sending you all waves and waves of positivity to help you through.

Sorry I have been AWOL for some time. I have been around and reading to keep up with things (and joining new diaries... HL and Mr B!!) but due to pressure of work and other associated evils I have not been able to get involved as much as I would have liked to.

I'll be lurking about for now...!

    Good Morning everyone,
I spent yesterday tidying up our small spare room have the desk and computer in there now. Also in the far corner I have put an old armchair with a lovely cover, didnt have a table but had a chest so put that beside the chair with a piece of the same fabric thats over the chair, a small table lamp that was in a cupboard.
Had a small bookcase that wasnt doing anything so thats now on the other side of the chair. Its looking quite lovely in there so that will be
    "my place of my own"
I have a large notebook with a plain cover so today will cover it, have some different fabrics in the cupboard so will find something nice.
I have also decided I need to up my income,it will have to be from home as I need to be here to look after my OH.
So this afternoon I will sit in my chair and write a list of things that might help incase my income. All ideas welcome.:)
Taking it one day at a time

Approved food order arrived... I now have 110 loo rolls, so can't see any reason to go shopping ever again. Just need to shuffle a few things in the cupboards as they are rather full :o or maybe I need to move things around so I have one big store cupboard. I want a larder in my next house!

I've cheered up a bit after a chat with OH, and am keeping my fingers crossed that his chest infection gets better so I see him this Thursday. Not only was he not well enough last week, but he's been advised to keep germs away from me until my breathing improves, and we've both been feeling miserable as a result.

It was his birthday on Sunday and I still haven't got him anything :o any ideas? Apparently all he wants is me, but I think I should probably come up with something a little better. I did wonder about a bread maker, as at the moment he only makes bread when he's looking after the kids at his ex's.

High fibre diet appears to be working well so far... Even if everything does taste of ground linseed! So hopefully the iron will start working soon and my brain will function properly again.

As I have a whole house for myself, I haven't done anything about the 'special place' but if OH does move in, I'll suggest it's something we both do so we have some space for ourselves.

I must confess I am struggling with a place f my own - DS2 is still at the stage of "I come too" - its been three years since I went to the bathroom on my own - so must get a bit more creative LOL

Can't believe i've only just noticed this thread now! I have been trying to have a big tidy up/sort out/de-clutter of this house this month but not doing very well! Think I will have a look back at the Challenges this month and see what I can sort out.

Will there be a link to Septembers challenge?
