Welcome back and I hope the hol was good? You forgot to post the usual catchphrase "You lot can't half talk!"

But how can you know what you want till you get what you want and you see if you like it?

Thanks we were aware of this but Truffles brother was sold yesterday so he has been alone since then, we would have bought both if it was possible as we are getting a cage big enough :( But also aware that 2 boys suddenly put together are not necessarily going to get on, and we don't want babies either. Not really sure we could do much more with the situation tbh. Thanks for the linky though will add it to favourites and keep an eye on his behaviour once he gets here as we've read up a bit on them.

ETA will read forums and stuff on pairing males and see what they say as well as they seem more positive about the idea but I am a bit unsure atm tbh

Cool, you could look at boar dating? Rescues let your piggie meet other piggies and see who they like.....:);)
I have a pair of girls who "tolerate" each other and have a lovely boy who is waiting to have the chop  which terrifies me to "make" a trio. they are complicated little creatures! I don't have masses of experience but find the forum very useful

Oh your boy will be fine after the chop and will be great with the girls. I had one boy with two girls this way. And one other "chopped" boy with one another girl. Definitely prefer not having two boys together.

Yesterdays challenge, an appropriate one for any little piggies heading off for the chop-OUCH!!!

Thanks to everyone who headed over to Hovel Lady - I wish everyone could have a group of fantastic friends like you.

    XXXX

Before the weekend it is time to take stock - so pull out your First Aid kit and have a quick look.

Toss, toss, toss anything damaged or out of date, anything opened that you don't know what it is - remember your pharmacist will dispose of any drugs that you don't want to put in the bin. Bag them up and place them in your bag out of the way of little fingers and paws.

What do you need to stock up on for the winter - think general healthcare as well as prescriptions. Plasters? Paracetamol? Calpol? (tell me I'm not the only one to keep a reserve bottle)

What about some soft tissues for the first cold of the season? Olbas oil for stuffy noses? Indigestion remedies? Make a list for all the minor complaints that can't be solved by a "Mummy kiss".

After you have restocked your First Aid Box - remember it store it away from the curious

lol at piggie dating - do they have to fill in a score card, or is it just whichever one they want to go to pub with?

Eek all this chop talk makes me feel queasy - will wait till we get the poor little thing till we even think about it - am wondering whether it is better to be own your own but have all your equipment or be with others but without them. Have asked dh and he turned a nasty shade of green:rotfl:

I am sure DS2 will go far, he has a good work ethic, is likeable, great with people and willing to listen to others :D He wants to be a property developer at the moment.

Thrifty, just delurking to say good for you DS - property developers can have such a bad name, but without them a lot of the housing stock just isn't going to get upgraded. We need what they do! Like MrsMoo2U, I'd deffo encourage him :)

  • I want guinea pigs as well... but DH tells me we need to wait until we move house, and I know he is right about that. So for now, I just want to keep feeding the piggies next door! :)

Sorry I have not been around here much lately. I have had a bad week in terms of the depression and the effects of some pretty deep counselling last week. Luckily my Counsellor is having a holiday for the next three weeks (thank heavens!) so I have time to process some things.

Off for a sleepover at my godson's house tonight (6 kids, 1 chocolate labrador = chaos!) and then we are at home for the rest of the weekend. Got lots of chores to do though, so no rest for the wicked!

    See ya round Matrix!
