OK so if I save all the £80 child benefits on top of what I already have in holiday fund that gets me to £675 add another 3 £70's of][= monthly holiday savings gets me £885.
Now Next is paid I have £418 left a month after everything is budgetted for, so if I save another £200 on top of the £70 a month for holiday budget then that gets me £1485 so will have spending money too. I still have £218 left for things I haven't budgetted for each month and if I go really steady and don't have to pay out for anything unexpected I could even still pay the overpayments of £150 but that is going to be really tight...doable tho.
The only thing that could stop my holiday plans are things going really bad between myself and OH...could it get any worse than it is now? Probably, but in the mean time I will just save and concentrate on nice things.
I will go on holiday!

Hi Livvyloo, have you heard back from the garage yet? Fingers crossed its not too bad.
Thats lovely that your friend has said you should visit her, where is Doha?!
Hope you get lots of ebay bids tonight xxMummytogirls x0 -
Hi Mummy,
No I didn't get a quote as the car garage didn't manage to assess the damage when it was stripped down for the parking sensors to get fixed so they need to strip it down again...not sure how the couldn't coordinate this. So my car has to go in on Wednesday to get a quote as the man who does it is away before then. The garage is quite a distance away so it means more petrol and a late finish as I need to pick up DD from nursery on my way home too.
So what I think I will do is go to the PO on Thursday and send the recorded letter to the salesman and at the same time I will post my ebay parcels...a bit late really but never mind, it saves petrol.
Doha is in the Arab Emirites, I am excited but I have never flown on my own before and I will have the added bonus of keeping DD entertained for 7 hours...she turns 3 next month aaargh!!!!
Imagine going on holiday without a credit card? I will be shaking ha ha, especially when we have a trip to Dubai.
Aw thank you, I hope your pushchair gets that bidding war you are wishing for. I have been checking my sales all day and there is no change but one item has 9 watchers on it.

Good Afternoon,
Well yesterday turned out to be a NSD in the end, and I made £25 on ebay. Only 4 things sold but tonight I will re-list some items which didn't sell last week and see if I get any better interest on a Sunday. I have some more things I have ironed ready to list so will put about 10 items on as any more and it becomes difficult to manage with payment and postage etc. At this rate summer will be over and I will have to save the rest of the summer items until next year to sell.
Going to mums tonight with DD for a chinese takeaway, will take it out of my entertainment budget and order a few more fried rices for the freezer, DD will have some of mine so no more expense.
Bedding is in the washer but I am a bit reluctant to hang it outside because it keeps raining
Shopping trip to Aldi tomorrow, Im starting to make my list. I only need salad things, bread and milk so shouldn't cost much...determined to keep the grocery budget under £200 for the month.

I bought DD her birthday pressies today...£80 aaargh, but OH will give me £40, when he remembers!!!!!! I got a discount code for ELC and saved 20% and got free delivery so I am more than happy.
Can't be bothered to make my lunch for tomorrow, its looking like it might be the left over lamb hotpot which I put in the freezer last night.
Work tomorrow and I am in for a busy week. Oh well, I will just keep thinking of my holiday!
10 items listed on ebay!

Morning,
Am so cross today, OH has had a phone bill of nearly £100 and it has come out of our joint bills account. It normally does come out of there but I only budget for £35, he has had phone bills of over £100 before now and said it was because of his contract. So he has changed his contract and is still getting high bills....!!!!!!!
Because it was his idea to split the wages and put them in our own accounts, I have now decided its time he took his own phone bill. I have sent him two texts, one to say he needs to transfer £60 into the bills account as we don't have enough money to cover it and another to say please arrange with Orange for your bills to come out of your own bank account.
It was his idea to split the money as things aren't going too well between us, but I need to start fighting back because I am too soft. I actually am still able to move money in and out of his account as he hasn't got round to taking my name of the account yet, so I will give him a week and if he doesn't do it I will move the blooming money myself.
He can only remember to do one thing at a time so I probably won't get the money for DD's pressies for at least another week.
Will post again later when I can think straight.

Hi,
Well I got the money out of OH for DD's pressies, and he said he has rang Orange about his phone and that I can transfer the cash but not to cancel dd as he is not sure when he will get chance to change the bank account over on his bill (so why didn't he do it whilst on the phone to them?)....it doesn't suprise me at all. But 2 out of 3 aint bad. Am proud of myself for being brave and standing up to him.
I have packaged up my ebay items ready to send on Thursday. I also transferred some money from PayPal, last week I didn't bother as my ebay fee's were £20 so I left the money from the sales in there to cover it.
Was a bit over budget in Aldi (£10 over) but I am still £40 under for this months grocery target and I used my new half price cool bag so everything was still chilled when I got home from work.
I feel sad about situation with OH but I don't feel we will recover. The whole prospect of selling up and moving on is very daunting which is why I have let it all drag on so long. I need to find some inner strength to say how I feel but I guess I am scared of whats to come, I wish I could do a bit of time travelling. Still if I didn't know how upset I felt through all of this then how would I know when I was out the otherside and feeling happy again?
I have a busy day at work tomorrow groan.LBM March 2011 - [STRIKE]Joint Debt £46k[/STRIKE]Current Personal Debt £0 :jGroceries £152.51/230,Pot Balance £1564.02Christmas Savings £200, £2 savings £240 -
Oh forgot to say.
I got my friend a beautiful bracelet from M&S for her birthday, had to pay full price and delivery though as couldn't find a discount code. But it still came to 50p under budget...50p towards car getting fixed or holiday.

Morning hun
Just to say you seem to be doing very well and are on top of things and sound in control. I think you will find there's only so long you will put it off for with DH until you snap - esp if he is acting the way he is being careless with money etc. I hope you get sorted for the best.
Well done on paying next off and the ebay sales are doing well too.

Aw thanks hun, I do feel in control with money at the moment...if not obsessed lol.
Will keep at the ebay sales...keep relisting what doesn't sell and hope that different people are viewing them, would normally have given up by now.
My problems with DH are just dragging on, I think I do need to snap to be able to say what I think.
