  • I've got tomtom 5 running on mine.
Does anyone know how you can activate the GPS when launching tomtom and deactivating it when closing rather than having to go into settings/system/gps to turn it on and off when necessary?

P.S. Kingston 2GB SD card working fine with it.

Kind of; go into start, settings and gps, click on the big on button, and just leave it running whether or not TomTom is active. It'll just presumably drain the battery a bit quicker.
I didn't do it, nobody saw me do it, you can't prove a thing! ;)

Yes, no problem, are you putting them in the right folder, and including the 3 files needed.

I reckon this is a good price for this Windows Mobile 2003 PocketPC-based satnav.

Speed Cameras can be added easily.

Plenty in stock when I went in for something else this morning - I think this offer only started today ??

    Available in store and online:

How would you go about adding speed cameras to one of these?

    Thanks

You download the files and drop them into your maps folder.

    Hi
I have successfully loaded on TomTom Navigator 5.210 with the GB Map but I would like to put the version 6 on with GB plus maps of Spain inc Mallorca etc but what I ever try I can not get Version 6 to work with the appropriate maps - has anyone else had problems with version 6 on the Navman
    Regards

No I have TomTom 6 running well.

Perhaps you need to remove the old version first in case it is conflicting.

Make sure you have the tomtom and voices folder on the memory card, they dont need to have anything in them they just need to be there they also are case sensitive I just cant remember if its upper or lowercase they need to be. All they do is force tom tom to look at the memory card for map folders.

also make sure you have the correct map for tom tom 6
