GPS reception improves considerably after installing SP1 from the Navman site. To access the download you have to have Smart ST installed on you desktop computer.0

Nope none in Yeovil - looks like I may have missed this one0

Where do you put this external antenna exactly, does you just have to put it through a window and magnet to the roof?
Also with this Navman what sort of mounting kit comes with it if any and can it be taken from one car to another easy enough0 -

Reckon through the window is the route to go, shame I cant route the wire down the A pillar, as there's an airbag in it!
There's a good car window mounting kit, which is easily removed for transfer between vehicles.I didn't do it, nobody saw me do it, you can't prove a thing!

I've tried updating but not sure it's worked. On my PiN 570 if I go into setup for SmartST and choose "About" it shows SmartST 2005 Version 3.50.0510
Is that the updated version?
(Should I be asking this in the Tech forum?)

Actually, you can replace the battery, you will just need to remove the back of your PDA to install the replacement. :j

Found a solution to the voice problem
Go to the storage Card, go to voices, and copy the voices you want to have to program files/navigator/voices0
