  • I want to top £100 before sunday, that would be a great achievement for me!! only £12.10 to go, dont think ill make it this week though

but to make £1007 in the 26 weeks I should be making £38.73 per week so by my calculations at the end of week 2 I should have made £77.46 so Im still on target!
finally debt free and want to keep it that way!!
  • Just sold another DVD on Amazon and two items on ebay which puts our total up to £84.84.

We have another 9 items to finish on Sunday which are up to £157 already. I feel like a bit of a cheat. We are looking to move in just over a week (the lease isn't through yet!) so I have listed some big things that we can't take with us to generate some cash for the deposit - hopefully they should raise about £600. I also have lots of things in the local free ads paper.

I've got a biggie on ebay and I don't think it will go (its the beny exercise bike) might try local paper - have you had much luck???
  • just a tip about an ebay topic that has been mentioned!

if you want to try selling something for 'free' - list it as usual, and if it doesn't sell relist it as something completely different (you can change every aspect, and it has become even easier recently) that you 'know' will sell - as with relisted items, you get the listing fee back if it sells. so you will have only paid the one listing fee.

    i hope that makes sense!

can i also ask a question re: the challenge - if i have a weekly spend budget, and i manage to save some of this to use to pay off debt, can i include this?

    many thanks x:p

Just had a batch of stuff finish on ebay, giving about £120. I will update totals after postage and costs etc. Pretty happy with that though!!

The only bits that are left on ebay are not attracting any interest though, so my celebrations are unlikely to continue. I had better go and have another rummage!

Sometimes! I try to put most things on ebay. We have a parcel force account which means we can post the majority of things. It is difficult where we are because we are so far north, but you still get a lot of people looking at your items so most things go better on ebay than in the small ads. The things in the paper include poultry and rabbits which can't come with us, plus a greenhouse and a car that needs work. I didn't think these would do anything on ebay so I went for the ads instead. If it doesn't sell we either pass on to a charity or put it in the local auction house.

I have to be honest and say I think I normally bring more home from there than I take!
