  • Has taken me a while to get further than my mobile phone cash back last week but have now uncovered US$560 in shares from an old company share purchase scheme which I am now cashing in. Has been sitting there for ages so I reckon that will be around £270 after wiring back to the UK into my account. Yay!

Also have some other old shares I have forgotten about but cashing those in might be more difficult but could be worth another £200 if I can get them converted in enough time.

Need to get round to selling on Amazon but decided to avoid the 10p listing day as I thought the site would be flooded and I think I made the right decision looking at the prices...

£300 down already towards the bronze challenge. Think silver may be a bit optimistic though.
  • mine is the sidekick one which is whats selling well (got him in 2001/2 I think), just went to look as the ones going well have 2 different size eyes, didnt think mine did but when I looked it has! potential goldmine? (not quite)

glad to hear the little one enjoyed his new school monstersmummy!
finally debt free and want to keep it that way!!

Also sold another book - a freebie - on amazon tonight - will update total once I've gone to the post office tomorrow, not going to be mega bucks but every little helps.

Will update my total tomorrow afternoon

Hi folks i've trawled through the huge amounts of e-mila since flower of scotland posted this and i can't find an answer!!!

I'm in the same boat here where i counter for petrol out of my normal wages and luckily because of the overtime i've been doing over the last week for the challenge, my bosses are going to give me mileage as well?

can i count this towards my total because i wasn't expecting it and had catered for it in my normal salary????

still not off the mark yet!!!! good things come to those who wait!!!! i hope???

Hi - I would say that if you had already 'catered' for it, and this is extra to what you were expecting then you should be able to count it.

If it was me, and the money I got back to re-imburse my fuel was more than I spent to purchase the fuel then I would put the difference towards this challenge. In the days before children when I had a job that paid me mileage this is what I used to do... except the money was then spent on frivilous things... hence the postition we are in now! :o

lol I know that feeling FF!!!! 35p a mile to a 19yr old was mega!!!! Reckon I go tmore in mileage than I did actual salary!!! :rotfl: Oh to be young and care free again...(she says at only 26!!!!)
  • I have another 40p to add to my total, found it under the cushions on the sofa. My sons helping out with a little matched betting this week so hopefully this will bring in a little extra. Will try and list some books on Amazon tomorrow, they dont seem to be doing very well on GM. I'v also ordered the part for my dryer(which packed up a few weeks ago:mad: )and am doing the repair myself, luckily it's quite straight forward. This saves me over £20. Can't do any ebaying yet as the laptop still needs taking to the repair centre, and think this pc will blow up if I try to install the camera software. It runs like a turtle in muddy wellies.
Good luck with the walk to work finallydebtfree, it's a fair way you got to go
  • Hello everyone, i have been following this thread for a few weeks and decided to join in. My total so far (am going for bronze) is £63.84 from ebay - 18.51 and i have started delivering and collecting catalogues - 45.40. I have more things to sell on Ebay but its difficult fitting it all in around a full time job, part time catalogue job and keeping OH happy!!!
