Well spoke with hubby last night about this challenge... He's now on board with me to try to get to Gold - particularly as that would be a sizeable chunk to pay off our debts.

Popped into Bodycare today and found a TWELVE pack of toothbrushes for 49p!!! So - if I stretch them out to a new brush every 4 months thats a years worth of tooth brushes for us. Previously it would cost £5 to replace the brushes for us all - so my find today will save me £19.51 over the year... can I put that in or just half a years worth?? Whats the verdict?

Okay - I'm going with all of the £19.51 - technically a virtual saving... however the cash has now been transferred over to my Cahoot account which I am using just for this challenge! I'd opened the Cahoot account on the money for nothing challenge so I've already had my £25 for that!!!

I think some others are including savings from walking to work instead of using public transport. weather permitting am going to attempt the 1 hour walk to work tomorrow :undecided not sure if it will be a permenant thing or if I will even include it in the challenge if it is (as I said before I am trying really hard this year to save money wherever possible, hopefully this month Ill be able to save at least £250 on top of my usual £220 :))
