I think Silver is more realistic for me. Most of my xtra nicome will be generated through 'Matched betting'
Can we count tesco R&R as cash saved and therefore see what the cash value of each item is and count this towards the pot?Olympic 2007 challenge Started 9 Jan 2007[strike]Aim Silver 2007.00[/strike] Aim Gold 3007.00 Achieved so far:782

Even better, the new contract will save me £240 over 12 months plus with the extra free mins, I can cut my landline bills too. Can't count that I know but it gave me a warm glow!
Am going to do the match betting too. OH says there should be lots of additional free bets around in March due to Cheltenham (horse racing) but of course you don't have to use them on the gee gees.
as it could fall in the same bracket as saving on insurance as you would have had a contract anyway and if the new one is cheaper you could count any savings
But i don't really like giving opinions on what counts as eligiable cash as everyone will have a different opinion and at the end of the day its not my thread to do so (sorry Annie and Jet)Debt of £6300 cleared in 5 years, now ZERO0 -

Does anyone know why they would want this and what they will do with it? Thanks for your help. I'll add a footer when I have time/work out how to do it!

Christmasshopper wrote:Personally, I don't mind what people include in their totals. I am going to stick to the rules of the original Money From Nothing Challenge, and in a way treat it as a personal challenge to see how well I can do. If other people get more money than me by including things that I wouldn't, it doesn't matter. Or if people reach their targets before me that doesn't matter either. What does matter is that we support each other, and by July we will all have more than we started with to put towards whatever we choose.
I'm tooking at it this way too - I'm counting money I've made out of doing things for this challenge that I would not have done otherwise. I started reclaiming my bank charges in December so I'm not going to count whatever I receive but then again I'd have done that anyway, challenge or not.
If it were a competition then I guess we'd have to set some rules in stone but at the end of the day (yes, I know - it gets dark!) if we come out of it with some cash, it's all good.
Does anyone fancy a pint? I'm parched.0 -
First sale on Ebay since the challenge started - have made £11.51 after fees and postage so am off the mark.
Hope to be able to list more things on Thursday (10p day).
Have ordered £50 in vouchers from Pigsback but won't count them yet.
Have "sold" some of my holidays so will get extra money in January's salary - again will only count this when see how much I net after tax and NI.
Plan to try Amazon as soon as I have sorted out which books I bear to part with.
Thanks for all the tips0 -

If you have taken the time and trouble to make a claim then you have generated cash that you otherwise would not have had.
(my opinion has nothing to do with the fact that my claim is nearing an end)
I'm not reclaiming charges but I think they should count in the challenge as it is extra cash.
Good luck with your claim.0 -
