  • hi everyone!! not great on the challenge front for me either :( but hey ho any total is better than what I would have had :)

my challenge money is going to be spending money for my holiday in september (or replacing the money spent on the trip to milan in 4 weeks time!) just been for my jabs for my china trip so my arms are aching :(

have just accumulated enough points for my next consumer pulse voucher, this and quidco seem to be my only source of income for the challenge at the moment!!
finally debt free and want to keep it that way!!

My challenge money is going straight off my debts, however I've had so many unexpected lump sums to pay out this year it doesn't seem to be showing as reducing my debt!!

Is anyone else up for this mini challenge to get remotivated?

Hi Punky - hope you get some extra cash soon - do you do cashback sites? You can earn free money there... but takes time and determination!

FDF - love your new avatar, so cute! Have been toying with changing mine but I am too attached to it now... dunno, dillemas eh!

Jet - what did you have in mind? I must say things are slow for me at the mo. I am hoping next week so hit some charity shops in my spare time and go for unusual items, who knows, one could be a goldmine. My best Make Money From Anything item was a 50p thin hardback book about Chanel N°5, which went Buy It Now for over £12!!! Also an Aston Martin auction book bought for £1 went for £14 I think... all flukes! Sunny weather so time for boot sales too.

I'm thinking maybe cards would be the easiest for me - but I'm so uncreative it's unbelievable. Maybe I just need to have more faith in my artistic ability!! I reckon a pack of 6 would prob sell for about #3 (my pound signs disappeared too - if anyone knows how to get it back I would be most grateful).

Does anyone know how to find out local car boot sale info (ie what time you should arrive to set up?) I know there's one that takes place locally every Sun morning n was hoping to go this week but there's no contact no.

jet perhaps you need psychic powers for this boot sale if you find you have them perhaps you could start reading crystal balls and palms etc at a price of course...all in the name of money saving/making!!!

hmmm i think i got the answer...i will use my psychic powers for the extra boost for the challenge

Hi, I do about 6 cashback sites:o I have been adding Greasypalm money weekly and Pigsback vouchers when I get them, but as I do not have much in the other accounts I have decided to add whatever is in them at the end of the challenge, so that will boost my total a little bit.
Everyone is so nice and helpful on here:D

UR right everyone on this sites fab n the help/support is invaluable even in monetary terms!!!

wilf - lol :rotfl: think you're on to a winner there :rotfl:

I have taken a couple of positive steps overnight :p I have drafted an e-mail advertising my french translation service and am going to start advertising translation on e-bay which I've never tried before so fingers crossed :D

I have also decided to get some stuff from Costco to sell at car boots but haven't a clue what yet  I've drifted round a good few times and not come up with any ideas but I feel like I'm wasting my 30 pound membership fee by not making money from it :o

    Hope every1 has a gr8 MSE day :T

Jet - I thought of doing that for my PA services but wasn't sure how to proceed - are you going to advertise an hourly rate? And what price will you start the auction at - or will you do a BIN for 1 hour for example?

congrats to everyone, :T everyone seems to be doing so much better than me!

I haven't bothered updating my total til now because it's only been OH's cleaning money thats been going into the 'pot', but I've sold a CD on Amazon AND been told I've got the job I went for the other week, this week, so I thought I'd add it all up and renew my total.

Basically I've made £36 since I last updated my sig, but I've got a guaranteed 8 hours a week at Somerfield from next week so I'll be adding on at least £35 a week to my total! Not a lot, but every little helps... and when I worked for Somerfield before, I almost always got extra hours so hopefully the same will happen here!
