I never did spreadsheets before joining MSE and now seem to have a spreadsheet for everything
not sure if colour coding blue to be ahead of where I should be and red if i fall behind in debt repayments, Olympic Challenge etc, is being a little obessive.
especially if i check my accounts at least once a day even though the bank accounts only change a maximum of once a weekDebt of £6300 cleared in 5 years, now ZERO0 -

Ouch, I've only just fiished reading the two threads on MSE and Rpoints. I just feel sorry for those who had no idea what they were in for. Lucky I was at my local ladbrokes backing chelsea to win @ 2.2 and laying it off for a healthy profit.
I hope the thread doesn't get closed, but this is a good advert for all newbie getting into MB. Take your time, think before you place the bet and make sure you understand what all the outcomes are.Olympic 2007 challenge Started 9 Jan 2007[strike]Aim Silver 2007.00[/strike] Aim Gold 3007.00 Achieved so far:782

HURRAY! I've used the first bit of my challenge money for debt repayment
Ok, a little early but the SLC messed up and as I was due to finish paying them in March, it was left out of the CCCS. Because I'd changed banks they only changed over 2 of the 4 loans and then I rang (11 days after it was menat to go out, no contact from them) to be told it'd been sent to the debt collections department. Grrrr. SO I paid it all off. I've transferred the money from Paypal (challenge money) into my current account to cover it.
As this is the purpose of the challenge money (debt repayment), I am going to still count it in my total if you don't mind and keep on working up to bronze level. It also means I can afford to send £124 more to the CCCS this month, and then every month afterwards!
V Happy here - first debt I've cleared fully (not just transferred!) in 6 years!!
Sea xx
ps click on the transaction section in the Amazon account, or go to your transactions in the managing your account section, Webitha - not sure if that's just more confusing! It'll also be on the email they send you to tell you about the sale - at the bottom.

I have noticed Quidco will be paying me £48ish this month, so that will be added to Olympic totals as it's going straight into savings.
Any ideas as to whether Pigsback vouchers should be added?
Benedict - I check my bank acc daily too - as I am now self-employed I have to as I am living week to week and have to budget/shift cash about to make all ends meet. I have spreadsheets for different things, but all on tabs within 1 spreadsheet if that makes sense.
If anyone on here is in debt, I have created a DEBT reduction spreadsheet, showing your debts as one 'pile' (with different colours per debt) and each amount you pay off makes the stack/pile go down. Lots of people told me it motivates them to see the pile getting smaller. If interested, please PM me your e-mail address and I will send you it.MFW #185

Do Pigsback vouchers count? We have had £30 this year and awaiting another £10 currently in the post. I don't class those as real money though...
I am counting mine once I have used them instead of cash e.g. I "paid" a friend's daughter to do my hair using TopShop vouchers from Pigsback.0 -
Had a great week over the last week - 1 amazon sale a day for 7 days!! (Monday - Sunday) (last 3 were 3 of the 12 things I put on on Thursday from the things my parents bought when they came to stay). Add to that my ciao payment coming in and a GM and Ebay sale and I made about £35 last week, last 2 books are in this weeks and a handmade card my mum gave me £2 for too and I'm up to £6.26 this week so far and hopefully TNS will pay me for MS this week too and ebay cheque will clear so I can post that and add the profit on too.
Will update sig in a minute - total at the end of week 7 was £179.07 and total at present is £185.33
My current contract ends tomorrow so have just put in a request for 5 1/2 days holiday pay as I've been using flexi I've earnt to have time off so have only taken 3 days holiday. That'll be around £250 so I'm really pleased - will add that when I get it. :TInitial Mortgage January 2024 - £160,000
