    :j bellsbells Go You! :)

I won't count it then as I'm saving for debt repayments so I need cold hard cash! :D

Thanks for all your replies - helped a lot. Will make a note of money saved anyway that I would have spent separately.

I've updated my sig - £20 this week from my £2 pot. Just sold 3 items on ebay (but for less than £10 and will count it next week). Have listed 5 cds on Amazon as well. Now the biggie - if I can stop smoking in the next 6-8 weeks, my dad will let me keep the £400 he paid for my vet's bill when it's paid by the insurance co. So I have a real incentive to stop now!

Well done Moxie - that is a full incentive! You can do it!

I too have sold things on Ebay today and last night but as I've not sent them or got paid for them all I'll update as and when.

How many of you will carry on doing this even after the challenge ends?

  • Well I'm losing track of myself and where i'm up to (organisation is not my strongest point - hence the debt).

Anyway, I made another £48.14 in extra time worked. So this brings my total to £391.18.

I have slowed down a bit - so need to get my motivation back - although have a busy week next week. Maybe the week after for more things on ebay. wish me luck!

I missed it at the time and it has now been overtaken by the post mortem so I am not sure of the details. But it seems that there is something called the overround which is the bookies margin - is normally around 100% but on one market it was spotted at 140% giving potential 40% profit. People were laying all outcomes of the market over and over thinking they had no liability. It seems because some bets were void (players not playing) that they have... :(
But it is no reason IMO to close the board - it was not matched betting when all is said and done.
