how annoying, just been to boots to use my pigsback voucher to buy my essentials and they dont give your change in cash like most other places so had to have it put on a gift card
it means I cant include the whole £10 in my total until I have spent it, oh well there is mothers day coming up I suppose!
(could have used it all quite easily but told myself that this year I must empty a bottle before I buy another!!!) and I am only including the money from vouchers earned on cashback sites if I use it for stuff I really need to buy!finally debt free and want to keep it that way!!0 -
well iv been getting nowhere fast recently but made another £20 today thanks to the mutual so counting that. also hopefully next week will cash in some pigsback points and sell some stuff on ebay.back to comping in 2017, fingers crossed :beer:0

Right, a question - are people counting savings and putting the actual cash into the pot, or are some counting the savings as part of their fund, but not putting the actual cash in there? I'm a little confused...I've just been putting in money, but have got RAC cover through clubcard points saving £157, but can't physically put this in the pot as I don't have it!
Any thoughts?

whatever works for you! mines sat in a savings account (via quidco) which Ive opened for the challenge. I dont actually need to use my money right now so it works better for me if I let it build up
others are using the money to pay off debt as they go along but are keeping a running total of what they have made
dont think it really matters so long as it works for youfinally debt free and want to keep it that way!!0 -
I just put any money made i.e. betting and ebay towards my pot.
I personally won't take any savings in account otherwise if i took all the BOGOF offer, i be halfway there by now. There aren't really any set rules. The general consensus is that if you're saving money you would otherwise have spent, and putting it towards debt reduction (or whatever you're doing the challenge for), it can count.
So in the case of vouchers, you can add your savings to your total. Ideally you'll put the money you've saved towards paying off debt.
But as with most things in this challenge, its your call. No-one's 'policing' it, as there's no real reason to.0 -
I know its not related to this challenge but does anyone know what happened today re matched betting? some people seem to think the board will be shut downfinally debt free and want to keep it that way!!0

sea78 - my extra money is going straight off the debt, so I am not 'seeing' any of it. Once I am debt free any future challenges will be going into my mortgage overpayments! I think it is whatever works for you really - at the end of the day however you make it work we are all a bit better off:j
Speaking of being better off, my lovely OH who was working all weekend (including Sat night on site) has just walked in the door and given me £255 towards this challenge!( so ultimately towards our debts - just need to get it down to the bank now!):j  :T )
So.......I am only £24.79 away from bronze. Yipeeeeeeee:rotfl: :j
