I think it's a yes, as long as you looked at it for the purpose of the challenge

Wish I had money stashed away!

  • If you put the funds towards whatever it is you're doing the challenge for, I dont see why not.

Have updated my sig to include this week. £11.89 from ebay, £10 voucher from shop and scan and £2 for doing a survey. I'm still hoping for a well paid focus group soon, but none offered so far although I have applied for loads!

  • Hello all,

To give my perspective on the inactive Olympians issue...

If I dont hear from someone one week, but they have PM'd me their total before, then I carry their total over, which often happens. So any blank spaces on the individual totals on the newsletter, are those that haven't submitted anything since the start.

A few people have responded to my group PM. Between 5 and 10 people have dropped out since the start, and been removed from the paperwork, although I dont publish this as they all have their reasons, and I imagine would love to take part... they just can't right now. I always offer them the option to return, and have convinced a couple to stay and take part, albeit on the understanding that nobody HAS to submit a total every week, nor does it really matter if they dont make the Bronze amount.

For those who were disappointed with our grand total compared to our grand target, I can work out a revised amount based on only those that have submitted their total at least once since the beginning of the challenge. That would make it a little more realistic and optimistic.

In terms of my workload for those not submitting at all, its minimal. It takes me more time to process a total, than to process no total!

I dont really mind either way, but if the general consensus is that COMPLETELY inactive members should be removed, then that can be done. I would suggest that, in the interests of fairness, an individual PM is sent first. If no response follows within, say, two weeks, then they can be removed.

    Thoughts?

Makes sense to me! I think that my reason for wanting to remove people is purely and simply because i don't like blank spaces on your spreadsheet where there should be some money:rotfl:

  • Slooowww week so only added £29 but got some bits n' bobs to go on ebay on Tuesday so hopefully the total should bloom a bit (like the solitude daffodil in my garden!)

Next month can add the savings we've made by dumping Sky and dropping down a package with AOL, am currently working on an endowment compensation claim too so fingers crossed.....

Have a fruitful week one and all :j
Happy riding on two or three

yay! Just sold something on ebay for £180 inc p&p so should get about £130 in total profit (hopefully if I've weighed it correctly!). That'll help my total! :) Feeling happy. Got quite a few other ebay/amazon sales to add to the total too but need to find out postage costs first.
