Hi guys I'm in the same position, except we are aiming for 28 day completion 4th of October offer was accepted on the 6th of sept and by the 8th I had spent the best part of a grand on various fees. I instructed the solicitor as soon as offer was accepted but on his advice he didn't do any actual work till we had the AIP, all is going fairly smoothly apart from the estate agent being a pain!0

28 day may just raise my stress and hassle levels, though having moved with 10 days notice before, it would be the legal side only!

Looks like it might take a bit longer, the sellers solicitor is being really slow. Bit frustrating as they were the ones who wanted to move quickly!
Davilown are you still aiming for the 6th? It really great hearing from people who are in the same situation!0 -

That's great news! We are still waiting on the sellers solicitor. Went and measured up the kitchen yesterday with a friend so am trying to distract myself with kitchen planning, I'm on first name terms with some of the co workers in ikea kitchens! Hopefully we'll have a date this week.0

Anyone else gotn any exchange/completion dates yet???
I'm sitting in limbo, packed loads and still waiting to exchange, driving me insane!0 -
Not yet - surveyor should have visited the house today - so hope to get that report later this week. I kept wondering when I should next contact the solicitor or whether I leave him to get on with it and assume he will contact me as and when he needs to.0
