I'm assuming they don't have rooms for 3 as everytime I try to use the link it tells me they have no rooms available for my request:hello: LORRAINE :hello:0

avstar - consider Flamingo if a pool is a big draw for you - many say it's the best in Vegas.
Probably cheaper that Mirage I would think - worth looking into, anyway...and good mid-strip location too...but Mirage is a better property overall, I think most would agree...it's a pretty classy place.
And yes, in some cases if you have booked through a 3rd party you may not get the room you would get had you booked directly.
Also, if you book directly with the hotel, you can shop around for a few months and if something else comes up - you can cancel and rebook (and also if Mirage rates come down, you can have them adjusted). Can't do that with Expedia as far as I am aware.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -

It's a special promotion and the details say that:
Rate is per room, per night, based on single or double occupancy, plus 9% tax. Must be at least 21 years of age to check in. offers subject to availability, blackout dates apply.
Offers are not available to groups or persons attending meetings or conventions, or on major holidays. This offer may not be used with any other offer, package or promotion. Offer may
be modified or discontinued without notice. Triple and quad rates are available upon request at $30 for each additional person (four maximum).Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
avstar - if Flamingo is interesting, check here for their hot deals:
https://www.harrahs.com/AvailabilityCalendar.do?propCode=FLV&showHotDeal=Y&startingMonth=2007-06-01&source=SDM0000033899
looks like it's coming up to $697 including taxes and fees for your dates so about £350Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -

Sorry I didn't notice that bit.....explains a lot.
Another question
Do any vegas hotel pool areas allow topless sunbathing.
I know it's generally frowned upon in USA but I'd heard there were a few that had relaxed their view on it:hello: LORRAINE :hello:0 -
Hey Trets - did you have to do anything more than the online application? Did they require you to bring ID into a post office or anything like that?
We already have the Nationwide card as our debit card, but having a credit card that didn't screw us on exchange rates and fees might be something we would look into...but tend to be a bit lazy (and already have 2 credit cards, don't really want/need more but to save some cash, might consider it!)
no nothing like that when i applied , you don,t even sign a piece of paper you just tick a box to say "this counts as my signature". you do of course have to activate the card on the phone where they ask you a few bits and bobs for security ( Irish call center) , and they send it,s six digit security number and four digit PIN serperate ect.
welcome back Debaser  Glad you have had a good time.
what poker rooms did you play in ??? and how was check in at PH?Do any vegas hotel pool areas allow topless sunbathing
i don,t think so (but i,m not a pool person), but i allow pictures of such activities to be e mailed to me via PM:rolleyes: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
just remember a very high factor sun cream cause as has said before the sun/ heat in Vegas can be overpoweringBetter in my pocket than theirs :rotfl:0 -
I've just got back from a week in Benidorm where it was in the 90's so I have a good base tan.I know I won't actually burn but I'm intending using a SPF 20Do you think that woul be ok for someone who is well weathered like me.
I'm putting SPF 35 on my daughter who is very pale due to her getting no sun at all coz she's busy studying for GCSE's:hello: LORRAINE :hello:0 -
Avstar...another vote for the Flamingo as it has a great pool, very lively very big and busy and play some great music.
On the subject of topless pools, there are always threads about them on https://www.lasvegastalk.com From memory I think mandalay bay and mirage have one but again from memory I think there is a cover (or uncover) charge.0 -

Book before 31st Aug and travel before 31st Oct.
This offer also has a 1.5% booking charge.
Just thought I'd share......
Has anyone tried to book a flight via the telephone line you have to use?
Checked their prices to New York in Nov and it is about £300, so with a Mastercard should be £150 just wondered if their starting price before discount would be the same.
I am tempted but with my Vegas trip next march, I cant really afford it.
BUT another good reason to get a Post Office credit card as that is a Mastercard0 -
ooo I just read a couple of threads......Interesting
Daughter has just informed me she wants to stay 1 week at Excalibur. Now I thought she'd be to old as it was more of a kids themed hotel....but no she's seen the plans for the new pool area and as it will be open when we are ther she says she fancies to stay there rather than the Tropicana
Is it full of screaming kids....or rather do you think it will be in Oct/Nov????:hello: LORRAINE :hello:0
