this re post link will explain all
http://www.frontdesktip.com/faq.phpI'm impressed with the Luxor prices though and may change from the Tropicana to the Luxor for the first week.Better in my pocket than theirs :rotfl:0 -
personally speaking after seeing both casinos the Luxor would be my choice everytime , plus rooms are always quoted as good for size
I agree...plus Luxor has the benefit of being connected to Excalibur and Mandalay Bay both by internal walkways/shopping areas and by tram.
Also, if the rates for Tropicana are for the garden area rooms, I would go with Luxor - no question...have not read good things about the garden rooms...also, I think the Trop charges a resort fee - $5/day or so that isn't part of the normal booking cost...not a lot, but worth keeping in mind when comparing prices - I don't think the MGM group properties have a resort fee (yet).Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -

MGMGrand doesn't, Signature charges $15 a day.
"For your convenience, a daily resort fee of $15 is added to your room account and includes the following hotel services: fitness center access at The Signature at MGM Grand, high-speed internet access, local and 800 calls, in-suite private label coffee, two bottles of water per suite, per day, and daily newspaper delivery."0 -
I'm back again.
Is it realistic to get 7 nights for around £200 on the strip? What sort of hotels are likely to be on my list?
I don't have a Nationwide or Post Office card, how else can I book hotels with no charges?Love MSE, Las Vegas and chocolate!0 -
Midweek Mirage rooms were going for $75 in December.....5 nights for about £200.illegitimi non carborundum0

When are you going? I had a quick look back and it looks like September? That time of year, I think you will struggle.
If you look here:

You'll see some of the offers available for dates in September...looks like Excalibur and Monte Carlo would be the cheapest so far, but even then the average nightly rate will push you over £200 for the week.
You could try Circus Circus, Riviera, Sahara, Stratophere and check their rates on their websites...but I think that the weekend rates will end up bumping you up over £200 for the week.
Better deals may still come out between now and then, but I think you may have your target figure a bit too low to be achievable.
On the question of how else to avoid currency exchange fees - Nationwide and the Post Office cards are the only way I know of...but others here may have some ideas.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
American Express Travellers Cheque Card????Would anyone recommend getting one of these??
The price I have been quoted for the Tropicana was for a garden room but I've been told the pool facing ones are not that bad???Right or not??:hello: LORRAINE :hello:0 -

Thanks, I thought this would be the case. For better hotels like MGM, Paris, NYNY, what would be a realistic budget for a week in Sept? I'm now deciding between paying around £650pp for hotel and flight or £410 (indirect from Glasgow) for flight only and book hotel seperately and getting a nationwide card........Love MSE, Las Vegas and chocolate!0 -
Another question
Casino Royale???What's it like to stay there???It's coming out really cheap.
Does anyone have an e-mail for them
and where can I find a pic of the pool area.....I know it's a small one:hello: LORRAINE :hello:0
