Whoops! thats a great point, and my post was entirely unrelated then, I forgot this time Im going to Buffalo (via toronto) to meet friends first. That price I quoted is the Gatwick to Toronto leg of my journey.. SORRYVery proud of trying to deal with my debts. LBM 04/09

There are no plans by Virgin to update the IFE on the Gatwick metal in the near future. Just to make you aware they are regularly now stopping bar service about 3 hours into the flight, claiming that they need to conserve for return journey. BS!! The trouble now is that the LAS flight has become a party flight, and on many occasions it gets pretty rowdy in the back. Splash out on Maxjet for double the money you get Upper class service for less than the cost of Premium Economy.
Thanks, shame about Virgin not updating the IFE, regarding the bar service I didnt have a problem last month but then I dont drink on flights so not an issue.
I can get 3 flights for just under £900 inc taxes with Virgin next March or just under £2400 with Maxjet...that £1500 will pay for all my nights accom and leave some spending money0 -

Regarding the Penn and Teller show, we saw them last year and thought they were rubbish, shame as I really liked there T.V. stuff. i think I counted 7 tricks in the whole show, most of the time was spent with Penn rabbiting on, and you could see how they did every one of the tricks. Very poor. But if you are a big fan, then go, as at the end they stand out in the exit to have pics and autographs done. The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.0 -
Thanks for the advice! I was wondering about picking tickets up etc...but if you can get them from the box office a few days before the show, then that is perfect!! Do you think if I phone up and book that way, I will be able to use the coupn (as it has a code) or do they physically have to see it?!
Hiya - glad to help! I think that the coupon says that it's not good for online bookings, I'm afraid...probably because they want to sell as many at full price as they can...and if they have extras closer to the day, then they let them go at 25% off. Whenever we have booked online beforehand through the box office we have been able to pick tickets up as soon as we get into town for shows later in the week, so I assume this is something that you can do everywhere - but you can always email the box office to ask if you're not sure.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -

Will they be around at christmas????
They're always around...they are harmless, though...I know they may look a little scary, but I have never heard of anyone being harrassed by them - at least nothing more than trying to hand you a card...I just ignore them...or take the card my husband declines just because it amuses me.
Personally, it's the timeshare people that bother me a whole lot more...so annoying! we learned the 'we're leaving tonight' trick pretty quick and so far, has always got them to back off.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
I found it amusing to tell the timeshare people that i would love to buy but im on the run and cant risk the FBI tracking me down....
Their faces were a picture... :rotfl:Undefeated Wii Fit ski jump champion!

yep i would say the time share people are the most bothersome , espically at the Excalibur around the Monorail station. also just as you enter Mandalay bay casino from the monorail too.
like Ferf says just say "i,m going home tonight " and they will usually leave you alone. As I'm commiting to Sept now, should I be panicked about trying to sort hotel right away or have I got plenty time?
i would say there is plenty of time for some good offers to appear. just keep regualr tabs on the offers boards here they all are again for bookmarking ( i keep them in a seperate folder in favs for easy access)

I was just checking those prices, 6th May and 9th of May £169 from Manchester - and that's with all taxes etc. So tempting - but I've just booked a couple of weeks in Devon!0
