Dear me the flight prices for my dates (3/7 ret 20/07) went through the roof this morning, both BMI and Virgin are at £740 each at the moment after a few months sat at £600 each. So Ive lost my nerve and booked with american airlines for £600 each.

I dont like this waiting for flights to go down malarky and seeing all the options increase by £300 one by one over the space of 30 minutes.

Anyway, flights booked, Vegas here we come.

CRIKEY !!!!!. why have they shot up so much ????? i cannot believe they are nearly sold out at the prices they have been stuck at.

my daily barometer check at Airline Network creeped up over £300 for the first time this year yesterday as well. ( ie cheapest available flight at any time available)

i hope we see some downward movement in prices in the next few months for you all. my chances of going are stilll in the gutter i,m afraid....Hope New England in Oct is worth it :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

P.S i now consider my original post of no tips and deals only too optimistic to keep the thread fresh for 12 months hence i have slighty edited the title and OP. got the idea from Dubai thread

thread to take note of on Vegas mesage board.

also digging around in my old Times travel supplements i came across the advice of calling ( not surfing !!!!) Trailfinders ect directly as a possible avenue of getting a better deal. as they sometimes have deals available they don,t like to advertise on the web / media ect. having something to compare what they offer is of course a good idea

here are some of the phone numbers for you ref.

    Trailfinders - 0845 054 7777

    Travelbag - 0800 082 5000

    Expedia - 0871 226 0808

also a good resource to search deals not previously posted ( i think)

heard of it , it is about 15 miles off the strip.

gets rave reviews and is supposed to be the best or 2nd best vegas hotel off strip.

All those years ago the first hotel we stayed in in Vegas was the Stardust. On Tuesday it was sent crashing to the ground to make way for a new hotel.
Sorry to see it go. Now another reason to stay south strip rather.

Hi all, hopeing for some advice.

Will the hotel prices in Vegas be horrendous over Labour Day weekend ?

I've got the chance to go from 30th Aug to 4th September and I can't really change these days (its a long story but I've won flights to Philadelphia for those dates and fancy going on to vegas which I've always dreamed of visiting).

So my flights are free but just noticed in my diary that its labour day weekend (think its called that!), so will the cost be extortionate ?

And will it be best to book early or wait until last minute knowing that the whole of America will be prob be going on holiday that weekend !
    Cheers

If you want off the strip, the JW Marriott is a lot nicer
