Just back earlier this week and wanted to be sure to say thank you to whoever it was that posted the hotels.co.uk deal for Wynn (sorry, I can't remember who it was and I did a search and couldn't see it). £41 something for a panoramic view room was an amazing bargain. Most comfortable bed EVER. Beautiful view. Fantastic night we had there - and we left the hotel with more money than we went in with, AND 6 free buffets on our cards as they were running a promotion for new sign-ups - 25 points = 1 free buffet, 50 points = 2 free buffets. My hubby and I each got 50 points for less than $20 invested in the slots...then my hubby got to 500 points during our stay as he had such good luck there and earned 2 more. We used 2 for dinner and 2 for breakfast with the remaining saved for our trip in March. Awesome. And when we went back to change my hubby's email address, I won $300 while he was waiting in line and a further $200 about 10 minutes later.
So thank you, thank you...that was such a great find and Wynn was by far the kindest casino to us this trip.
Hope your not feeling too down being away from the magical place that is Vegas!!!!
I totally agree with that price for the Wynn!! We stayed there for seven nights back in 2005 and I think staying there is like a dream. Its beautiful isnt it? If they could bottle that smell that is everywhere - I would certainly buy it!!!! As for the beds - amazing - as well as those pillows - like sleeping on a cloud.... ah well, back to real life!
That steak sounds nice too!
- Luci - thanks for you advice about the BMI flights - I'd really like one of those "2" seats on either side.... Thanks to everyone else who has posted their experinces too - much appreciated - just a quickie - Ive looked on seat guru and I cant actually see the layout of the BMI flights - am I missing something?....
Steff:hello:My name is Steff and I am a Vegas Addict :j0 -
We always get the two seats at the side, either A&C or H&K, just call up bmi with your booking reference and ask to reserve them.
HERE is the link to the bmi A330-200 Airbus on Seat Guru. We have reserved 26H&K on the way out and 22A&C on the way back. 26H&K are showing as not so good seats on Seat Guru, but the fact they have limited recline won't bother us as neither of us recline our seats. We were also offered Row 32, but wanted to be as near the front as possible to be at the front of the immigration queue.0 -
Can you pre-book your seats for late december on AA yet?
I have booked for the Ballys over new year, how do I go about doing the $20 dollar thing?0 -

You can normally pre-book seats on AA at the time you make your original booking if you book direct with the airline at least. If you have already booked and have not requested seats you can call AA to do so. I would do so sooner rather than later though to give you the best chance of getting seats you would like. I would have seatguru.com up on your screen when you call so you can check the seats they offer you to ensure that they're not 'bad' seats.
As for the $20 trick check www.frontdesktip.com. Bally's has a relatively high success rate, but if you are going over New Year, you may not have much luck as they will be sold out some of your dates so may be less likely to upgrade.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -

agree with that.
as for good seats, there aren,t any the BMI flight .the only ones with green are also half yellow ( be aware) . better to get the 2 on their own if there are just two of you then your not sat next to a random stranger. consider your self luck on Virgin's Las Vegas 747 the config is 3-4-3 across with only a small handful of 2-4-2 rows right at the very back which always get booked up fast.
you should always try to prebook your seats IMO . i thought i had on our flight home from Washington only to find we had been assigned the 2 middle seats in a row of 4 with 2 guys either end blocking us in . fourtunatly we realised no seats on the very rear row behind us was being used and the guy next me went there.( leaving me with the asile on one side and my old empty seat the other ) the fool next to my wife continued to sit in his end seat ( even though he could have grabbed the seat behind him for 2 seats all too himself ) for half the flight , until he moved to the row behind half way home when he "tutted" when my wife had moved him to use the Toilet. he sat there for the last 4 hours and then like the complete fool he was , he moved back to his orginal seat when they started to land. WHY ???
you never know who you might end up next too , best not to take the chance. also as a end note of caution , the config on the plane from washington was 2-5-2 for the most part , imagine being in seat 3 of the 5 with 2 people blocking you in either side all the way home  . for the sake of not making a 5 min phone callBetter in my pocket than theirs :rotfl:0 -

I found it really jerky, didn't enjoy it at all.
Me neither - I rode it once in 1997 and once in 2001 and had a massive head and neck ache the rest of the day both times.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0
