Booked for Las Vegas for May/Junr 2008. Looking to book a helicopter flight to grand Canyon. Any tips?

Also how do you get the discount vochures mentioned in previous postings.

Yeah i posted the 10% code (FABSAV) to use on that Viator website and would highly recommend using them to anyone. They act as a broker and saved me effectively $115 (per person) off a helicopter tour and ranch adventure compared to if i was booking directly with HeliUSA. Viator even works out cheaper than using the freely available $50 vouchers.

With Viator you receive the exact same tour as HeliUSA with no compromises. The only extra thing i needed to do was to call HeliUSA up and provide them with the weight of the passengers. I went with my girlfriend ( now Fiancé :p ) and managed to get the front row seats in the Helicopter too. Awesome trip and its something that must be done whilst out there.

Anyway Vegas was excellent. Watched Ka, Brilliant is all i can say, and watched a show called ICE, a Russian ice skating show. was alright i guess, at least the girls were well fit. Tonnes to do there and all the good bits have already been mentioned.

The only other thing i can recommend is to visit the Las Vegas Gun shop. Me and my fiancé went there and tried a few guns. Me: M16 and AK47 :D and my Fiance: MP5. We both had a right laugh. cost $1 per bullet + cost to hire the guns. Well worth it though.

oh came back with an extra suitcase :rotfl:

on a side note: I've got an unused Gondola Tour for 2 that cost me $200+. reason its an unused tour is because the lake we was planning to ride on was closed due to unusually high winds. Anyway would anyone be interested in this tour? Here is their website http://www.gondola.com. I'll be willing to sell this for £50 as i doubt i'll be going back to LV anytime soon. You can also use this at their other locations across the US in California, Florida and Texas. PM me if interested and i'll provide more information on which tour it is.

MGM from $89/night - includes $35 voucher for the Miracle Mile shops at Planet Hollywood (haven't quite worked that one out as they're owned by different groups, but hey).

It is the Holiday Spree promo. There are a many similar promotions with the $35 voucher from the MGM right now. Some promos have also a $35 hotel credit when you use any American Express Card for booking (e.g. code INB137). On http://www.vegas-hotels-online.com/category/mgmgrand/ is a list with 6 promotions like this.

free tickets to "X Burlesque" at the Flamingo . at

    http://www.goldstarevents.com/

you need to sign up for the site ( and put a random US zip code in) , and there is a $7 service fee, and they are not many dates available ...but still might benefit someone.

my dates are not available   , though my wife would probably not want to go to a topless show even if it was free.:o

The biggest convention I can see for that week is only 30,000 which shouldn't have a huge impact. You can check conventions HERE
  • Hi everyone, I've just booked flights to LV from Manchester for next march - cost £354 per person which I was very happy with!!
Now I just need to book a hotel, I'd like to pay around $100 per night, but I'd love a nice hotel on the strip (maybe Luxor, venitian, MGM......) is this 'doable' ???

    Thanks, I am sooooooooo excited!!

It should be doable on weekdays, but not weekends when rates typically double. However I would book something at a price you're happy with as soon as possible as March is an extremely busy month in Vegas with March Madness and Spring Break and rates are usually very high.

If you book with the hotel now you will only have to pay the first night's accommodation and can cancel up to 48-72 hours before arrival if something better comes up and get your deposit back.

Keep an eye on FAT WALLET nearer the time for any promos.

i should think so , but like luci says some weeks are more expensive than others. i have been keeping close tabs here http://www.vegas-promotions.com/ for my dates f as most of what appears on fat wallet ends up here.

Harrahs owned casinos are the main expections. sign up for their e mail.or better yet check out the hot deals section on www.harrahs.com / i have booked the Flamingo already at $135 pn in April 2008 , i really don't expect to end up on this booking but it's a reasonable fall back

and of course keep tabs on the other offer sites . booking something reasonable that you can swing early is not a bad idea as you can always cancel when a great offer pops up and your safe from big price hikes

here are the links to all the other offer sites again .

Yes, I've finally done - read through all 1726 posts on this thread and would just like to say a huge thank-you to everyone who takes the time to post and reply to the many messages asking for advice (including myself.) I've been remiss in not pressing the thanks button throughout the tread so apologies for that.

What a fabulous resource this thread is. I have made lots & lots (& lots) of notes to help me with the various aspects of our proposed trip which we hope will be in exactly one year's time. No doubt I will still be back asking further questions as time goes on.

We are going to Madrid on Monday for a few days and I know nothing about that (other than the research I did on our accommodation) but feel I already know loads about Las Vegas. Must go put my 'Madrid' head on now.

    Once again, many, many thanks
