Sorry forgot to ask if there are any additional charges mytravel hit you with at the airport E.G ticket on departure fee ect ect also anyone know the flight baggage allowance I cant see it anywhere
thanks again
THere is a ticket on departure fee this close to the flight time. It will have been included in your total bill. Baggage is almost certainly 15kg but it does vary depending on what deal you booked. Go to the mytravel site, get your booking details up and it will tell you in the "information" section what your baggage allowance is. Unless they have changed their inflight organisation, they don't check on the "no food" flyers, just give it out to everyone. Been a0 -
Thanks for the replies folks
We booked our flights earlier today and on the conformation email no mention was made of the baggage I got this of the off the mytravel site though and I dont know which we would come under.we booked with mytravel.

Would it be better for my to buy a USA compatible sim card when I get there
As said previously, you will need a triband phone for the US.
I'm guessing your mobile is already activated for international roaming if you have used it previously to text home. If not you need to call Orange to get it activated.
You can check the cost of calls (receiving and making) and texts on the Orange website.
Depending on how many texts you intend to send, you may be better off with a US sim card.0 -

Apparently the Crown & Anchor pub show UK footie. It's off strip and a taxi would be able to take you there.0 -

I wont be using it to ring anyone in the US just to text my daughter at home to make sure she's ok.
I tend to use msn usually when we are away but because of the time difference there may not be an opportunity.
I'll just have to manage with emails I suppose0 -
Be aware that the internet is very expensive in Vegas. There are business centres with internet access in most hotels, including the IP. I don't know how much they are, but there is an internet cafe at the Hawaiian Marketplace which is $12 an hour and works out even more expensive if you use it for less than that.
...and there are also numerous places that do completely free wi-fi via their own computers or your own if you bring over a laptop.0
