I would like to let you all know of a website listing special hotel promotions for Las Vegas. I always book my rooms via promotions, it's much better for me compared to the prices of my travel agency.

    The site is: http://www.vegas-hotels-online.com
As it is your first post, what is your connection to that website?

It looks ok but all those deals have been posted on Fatwallet

Sorry, didn't want to bother anyone with the first post. I know Fatwallet is great, I really like the site. Just thought to let you know about the site I've posted. I am a big Vegas fan, visited more than 10 hotels and really enjoyed every visit. I think and hope that I can provide also more information regarding Vegas into this forum.

    Cheers,
    Dan

You know, we've been there tons of times - always stop at the Best Buy across the side street from Boulevard Mall, and never have I noticed a Circuit City there. That's a great tip for us as we were planning on checking both Best Buy and Circuit City for the camera and the CC we knew of was miles and miles away from Best Buy. Thanks.

Just to clarify, Circuit City is about 50-100 yards down from Boulevard Mall, not actually in the mall itself. Don't think you'll miss it though, it's a pretty big store !

There are some great tips in this thread - keep 'em coming!
We will be in Vegas for the 2nd week in November and one of the 3 of us is a Star Trek fan. (Well someone has to be :cheesy:) He wanted to try the "Star Trek Experience" & I wondered if anyone knew of any discounts we could use - special vouchers etc. so he can save a few quid to buy us more beers!
    Any help appreciated
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Mark F

We did the Star Trek Experience in July as my 20 year old son is a long time Star Trek fan and it was always his dream to do that. We got cheaper tickets at the half price ticket booth on the Strip. We went early to the booth, got our tickets and spent the whole day at the Experience. We had our dinner in Quarks Bar and had photos taken with the resident Borg and Klingon to name but a few. If your Trekkies you will just love it and we ended the day by going on the guided tour. Most of the people who work there are avid fans too so you get the feeling that your in a "special club" and that all adds to the excitment. You'll have a brilliant time, wish we were all going again! Trekkies are great people!

You can buy vouchers for quarks at restaurant.com, sign up to their newsletter (restaurant.com) and buy your vouchers as close to the end of the month as possible as they heavily discount them. I found the food to be pretty good value actually for this type of place and their clam chowder was fab. I remember there being a slight issue with giving them the vouchers from restaurant .com, not in them accepting them, but it was something to do with being charged tax twice ???

I can't remember exactly and it was only june, but still worked out much better for us. Buy the biggest voucher that restaurant.com do for quarks if you are going as a family.

The Quark's voucher states that a 17.5% (I think) gratuity will be added to the bill...so if people don't realise this, they may also leave a tip...I think that's the issue that has come up with them...when we used ours the waitress forgot to add the 17.5% gratuity to the bill and mentioned it to us when she gave us the bill...which for her was good as we normally tip 20%. :) I think also that using the restaurant.com voucher toward the alcohol part of the total is at their discretion.

You can also check the deals board at lvtalk.com as westie always posts the codes for 50% and 60% off when they are available. You can only use one voucher per party - something people sometimes miss and order 2 or more planning to use them at the same time.

I agree that it's decent quality food for the price with the voucher...without the voucher I think it's on the expensive side.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

Thanks again...I confirmed with my husband that he didn't remember a CC near Boulevard Mall either, so we must both be completely blind :)...really good for us to know this as it will save ages in driving to the one we know.
