  • Hi guys, hope you can help....

Me and two of my friends are going to vegas on the 12th of September and returning on the 16th.
We are looking for hotels that is situated in the right place for three 23 year olds.
I done a random search on hotels and the Stratosphere came up at a price of £66 per person for four nights(3 people sharing the one room), is this any good?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

The Strat is a long way from the action and there's unlikely to be anything you'd want to do within walking distance although the Deuce bus is cheap enough $2 each way or $5 per 24 hours.
If I wanted to stay right on the strip I'd look at Harrah's who often have good prices but I'll be heading for my usial haunt the Orleans come November at $40 a night apart from weekends it's hard to beat with the free shuttle up until midnight....and who minds a cab once a day anyway. Everytime we look at the on-strip hotels we end up concluding it isn't worth the extra to stay on strip as we spend so little time at the hotel anyway. The Orleans is clean, cheap to eat at and their price match is consistently good-in five stays I've never paid the quoted price-last trip it ran as low as $29.

For about £70 per person for 4 nights ($425) you could stay at Flamingo.

For about £76 per person for 4 nights ($458) you could stay at Harrahs.

For about £88 per person for 4 nights ($528) you could stay at Ballys.

Any of these would be better choices than the Strat for location alone...well worth the extra money...much, much better location and nicer properties. If you are pool people, Flamingo must be your choice.

If these are interesting go here:

    http://www.harrahs.com/hot-deals/index.html

and select the various casinos to see the 'hot deals' on offer...be sure to click on your 4 dates - choose 3 people and then click on find available rooms - in some cases the rates are LESS than what's quoted on the main screen...so don't assume that the calendar rates will be what you are quoted.

Good luck! I cannot imagine going all the way to Vegas for 4 nights, but I'm not as young as I once was. :)

  • Hi everyone.

DH and I are going in October and are planning 4 nights in vegas - 2 nights in LA - 3 nights in san jose - 6 nights in San Francisco.

We have priced the 'good' hotels in LV, and are definately tempted by The Bellagio. So far we've managed to get 4 nights for £650 for the 2 of us.
Are we likely to get it any cheaper if we wait, or should we book now?

    Many thanks,

    Sally

£650 for 4 nights seems high to me. If you're going over Halloween, prices will be a little higher than normal. Post your dates on here and we'll see what we can find.

This is a really useful site for offers and you can single out the month you're going to check out what deals are available. Over the next 3/4 weeks, the offers for October will increase too....

I agree, though you don't say what room type it is - we paid $230/night for a lakeview room which I was told was a reasonably good deal...though that was a mid-week rate, Friday and Saturday night would be more expensive so it really depends on your dates.

  • I am going to Vegas for the first time on the 7th of Septmember. There are 3 of us travelling and we just want the one room between us. We are all students so want to be in the heart of the action but are also on quite a tight budget! Can anyone suggest where we might be best looking to stay on the Strip?

Welcome Fernando - look on the previous page and subsequent responses, someone asked a similar question yesterday. This should set you on the right track, if it doesn't, start from the beginning - loads of information available.
