My Las vegas trip is all planned and booked, now doing the fun bits like working out where I want to visit etc.
I'm desperate to do the grand Canyon tour and am edging towards the helicopter version after reading all the posts, but I'm a bit of a wimpy traveller, (I always feel sick on boats etc).
Are the light aircraft or helicopter tours bumpy ? and is one better than the other in terms of feeling travel sick? Also does it make a difference what time of day you go ?

Thanks for any advice - don't want to ruin the highlight of my trip by staring into a sick bag the whole time !

Well we just got back from Vegas yesterday and it was amazing!!! Thanks to everybody who helped me out prior to going, all your hints and tips were top notch. Stayed at PH and got a great view of the Bellagio fountains after offering $20. Managed to see Mystere and KA, both were brilliant. We went to the Grand Canyon by light A/C and to be honest it was pretty bumpy, then helicoptered down to the bottom and it was amazing. The plane ride was pretty bumpy though. I can't beleive how much there is to do. 9 days and we still didn't do everything we wanted, and we're already planning our next trip, thanks again guys!!!!

Because of the reports of bumpy bits I drove and stayed over, well worth it if you have the time.

me and my gf ave also decided to get hitched while in vegas too in november so any tips on wedding packages and gown nd tux hire please
We married in Little Chapel of Flowers and I cannot recommend them highly enough. Staff are very helpful and definitely "on the ball." View their website here www.littlechapel.com/ You can view some weddings, and get a load of info here. Don't leave it long, as you still have quite a bit to plan! Good luck.

so many questions :D:D .... a great reason to get me thinking about how long till i go back.  .
hi can anyone help with flights and hotels from 9th september flying from manchester to las vegas can be there up-to two weeks.
i am thinking we might get married there if i can convince my OH to ditch the church idea. any ideas for flights, hotels and wedding packages very much appreciated

My travel have flights only ( ignore the car hire included) on the 9th Sept and are currently priced at £368. however the website only lists 3 and 14 night stays :undecided . which would indicate that it maybe filling up. but £368 is a little less than they usually are this far out. (don't forget to remove the in flight meal for MAX savings)
Given that BMI prices are over £750 each  you should look seriously at the My travel fare IMO as it may not drop a signaficant amount ( this Saturday now appears to be Sold out !!! and was still £400 yesterday !!). also wydw says you get a £30 late ticket collection charge if you book within 3 weeks of flying. .

£300 direct is always a pretty good deal and Septemeber is a popular month ( the heat is starting ease up).

there is a book you should invest in if your looking at getting Hitched in Vegas.

all i will say is if you can think of it , it can be achieved in Vegas. we just got our liscense and showed up at the Little White wedding Chapel. :kisses2: cause thats what we wanted to do. and had a fabulous day all round !!! when we arrived back from Grand Canyon the next passengers were getting married in the helicopter over the Canyon. so you see anything goes.

here is the thread for Las Vegas message boards wedding board

I'm trying to book Cirque - preferrably 'O' - for 24th November but only Zumanity appears to be on. I'm confused because it doesn't say O isn't playing but no tickets are showing.

    confused!!

it maybe "dark" . Winter and early spring are when shows tend to take breaks ( performers need holidays too)

but it is showing as available here
http://www.lasvegastickets.com/index.cfm?Page=EventInformation1&Events_DateID=635278 but that is no Guarantee it will be on .

deal is not avaialable on the 2nd or 3rd. prices for other days are $100 and above. sounds a wee bit expensive for Novemeber to me.

Helicopter is okay. i was little bit queasy but that might have more to do with the four large JD and Cokes i had in Nine Fine Irishmen before hand. my Wife had no problems at all and she is a worse flyer than me. i settled down after about a 30 mins anyway.
take some Travel sickness pills as precaution but i would not let worrying about maybe getting queasy stop me taking this trip .......NO WAY !!!! we went late afternoon and flew back over the strip at dusk ( as the neon was starting up). Mid day will be hot , espicallly in summer so that may influence your decsion

Impossible not to notice all the cranes around the Monte Carlo. It seemed dwarfed by all the construction, so all in all glad we chose PH, nice place friendly staff, though we'll still search round to find a good deal next time. I think it'll be nice to stay in different places each time, get a feel for the different properties. I was quite fond of the Mirage acually, and the deli sandwiches they did in there were amazing.
