  • Hi well I have added a tin of beans and a couple of handfuls of grated cheese and its defo worked lol! I tell you this "chilli" is a real chuck anything in that needs using up job! just thought I would list the things I chucked in this morning whilst still half asleep here goes -

    browned off mince
    chillies garlic cumin corriander
    green pepper
    3 carrots
    bit of celery
    some bacon
    tomatoe puree
    kidney beans and baked beans
    chopped toms
    cheese
    mushrooms
    peas
    4 left over hotdogs that were in fridge!
    onion
    red wine
    woster sce (sp lol!)

    good god what a concoction (sp!)

    but tell you what it tastes devine and just had kids try a spoon full to see if they like it and they loved it!!!!

    I love my slow cooker!!!!!!!!

  • lol will feed 5 of us with some chips I just put in oven then I am going to freeze the rest! I find this good cos my hubbie cant cook and when i work I know im going to get a decent tea when I come home lol!

    try adding choclate and some sugar (and maybe a stock cube) serve with lots of yogurt and cheese avail

    A little sugar when you use tomatoes in a dish will enhance the tomatoey flavour. But adding more can make it less spicey. That's what I was told anyway, and it's the rule I go by!

    we always add a tin of baked beans to ours to bulk out and calm down, DP wont have t any other way now.:rolleyes:

    All ingredients sound great except for the hot dogs . Aargh!!:rotfl: :rotfl:
