Word of caution....
label it as xtra hot if you freeze it, coz in my experiance freezing it just makes it HOTTER! just freeze in small portions & add extra plain mince/veggies - no probsI THINK is a whole sentence, not a replacement for I KnowSupermarket Rebel No 19:T0 -

Very good, everyone is in fine form tonight!!!! lol The potato got thrown out, although it was still raw when I took it out so I wouldn't have fancied tasting it:eek:
By the way nice to you see you mrbadexample, I haven't seen you around for a while.0 -
We have a pot of chilli relish (or something?) that I got from a farmers market. I make chilli how I like it then OH adds the chilli relish to it to get it extra hot. Or you could add extra beans, I put in cannelini beans as well as kidney beans.0

put a bit of tomato ketchup in it and mix it around that should break down the heat for you. Please Thank Me

Hi Loobysaver,
I hope you got your chilli sorted out. I've added your thread into the main 'too hot chilli' thread as it helps to keep all the suggestions together.

I'm probably a bit late for this but it might help someone else, I read somewhere that if your curry is too hot to add a spoonful of sugar so I'm sure that it would probably work for chilli too, it would be worth a try anyway!!0

Hi
Have made a chilli in my sc and think it may be a little too hot for the kids is there any way you can reduce it a bit with out taking away the flavour?

Apparently, if you put a potato in it, it will absorb some of the chilli, and you can fish it out before you dish up.
Someone will hopefully confirm that, coz it might be salt I'm thinking of.If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0
