Recently bought a 40 lcd HD freeview E Motion from Sainsburys Direct. £299 and delivered next day. Not a branded name but with 12 months guarantee, good reviews and great picture, is a steal
Just noticed you need at least 2 scarts - only has 10 -
Bobs the boy...cheers...you don't have a link do you? Only REALLY need 1 scart for DVD player...can unplug it if ps2 used or buy a double scart socket (if there are such things!) .0

When i looked few had more than one scart . I just bought a scart adaptor instead ,
Richer sounds + from me and their warranty is cheap .

Hi!
After A LOT of deliberating I've narrowed it down to TWO full HD televisions. I wondered if you king terchnical people could advise on my choices? Max budget is £300-minimum 32 inch-we sit in a not too light sitting room-10-15 foot from tv. Hoping for 2 scarts (not the be all & end all)-& watch normal tv (no sports) & sometimes action films. Not bothered about any slight scratches etc...our HD tv is provided by VIRGIN as no real reception here (& tied to 10 more months of contract).
Before I take the plunge any other websites/comparison sites (happy to have graded/refurbs) i can look at?
Choice 1)- http://www.electrical-deals.co.uk/toshiba-regza-40rv753b-40-full-hd-lcd-freeview-hd-tv.html -I know it's refurb...but particularly impressed by 2 scarts, 4 hdmi & the 'upscaling' of normal dvd/tv signals. Plus freeview HD (area I'm in at mo has crap reception-so we're on Virgin Media with TIVO box)-great if i move. Also warehouse is only a 40 min drive from me so no postage.
Choice 2)-(In stock at my local ARGOS)...http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/5295487/c_1/1|category_root|Home+entertainment+and+sat+nav|14419512/c_2/2|14419512|Televisions|14419667.htm ....mainly cos price is SO good!
Choice 3) (100hz-is it REALLY that much better??!) http://www.cheap-lcd-tv.co.uk/32_LG_32LH5000_XD_Engine_Full_HD_1080p_Digital_Freeview_LCD_TV_592_d
Could collect this no problem.
Any advice on my choices?0 -
Personally I would opt for the Toshiba if only on the basis its 40" rather than 32"IT Consultant in the utilities industry specialising in the retail electricity market.
4 Credit Card and 1 Loan PPI claims settled for £26k, 1 rejected (Opus).0 -
Yep, if you've room for the 40, go for it. What's the point in squinting at a TV for years for the sake of £100. Freeview HD added, and decent upscaling, plus badge snobbery of having a Toshiba instead of an Alba!0
