The table is now installed and I'm pleased with it. It's a nice oval shape and not too big. The top will need revarnishing, but as we will seldom see it under the clutter that's not an urgent priority.

I certainly hope he's getting paid, and am eagerly waiting to find out how much. He's paid on a complex system of one hourly rate for some parts of the job, half that rate for others etc etc.

He's getting on very well there and I hope has made himself indispensable. As well as all the teaching (no mean feat) he has set up a whole section of the college intranet with lots of resources on. The college is lucky to have him I reckon and I'm so relieved he has found somewhere to shine after his doldrum years.

Morning Seax, I tried to post last night on your diary, but MSE wouldn't let me, so I gave up and went to bed!

Good news on the client being fab, good news too on the table.

I hope the cheques turn up soon - Christmas is going to be tight all round this year i think.

Sounds like OH is getting on well at the college. Long may it last.

    Have a good day x

I guess you will be standing over him at the bank when he is checking his balance to see that his wages have gone in, ready to transfer as much as you can to pay off the bills he should have paid off last month.......!!!!

Glad things are looking up all round chez vous. Also hope that the pay for your OH will be thumpingly large.

Too right I will be breathing down his neck til I see that money has gone in. Too add to the excitement we don't know when his payday is - I thought it was 25th of the month but he thinks 22nd - yes only a week away. The excitement builds.

The bills are piling up ready for him. I've just agreed to pay for a theatre trip in the holidays. My sister has booked tickets for 11 of us to go to a show, she initially said she'd pay but the number has snowballed and she couldn't get the cheap seats she'd planned. So I felt obliged to offer to pay half - that's £90 - a huge amount but I guess that's what these things cost and my family so often sub me for treats that I can't grudge it.

£90 *is* a lot of money, but as a one off for the whole load of you to enjoy, it is pretty good value for money!

Payday.....payday.....payday.....I am starting to like the sound of that word. I look forward eagerly to my first one, but I think it will be several weeks off!
