This just reminded me of something my old boss did....
At the time of my OH being made redundant, and being out of work for a few weeks on early in our marriage, I made him lists of things to do....everything from putting the bins out to re-tiling the bathroom!
I told my boss about this and he told me that when he had once lost his job, he carried on getting dressed as for work and going out for the day, just as if everything was fine, just so that he didn't have to do all the things his wife would have lined up for him if she knew.
This carried on for almost a month and he only told her that he had lost his job when he had a new one to go to!!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -

How's it going? I've actually completed one of the 8 sections!!
Not sure how good it is but I don't care - will type it up in neat later, when I've done all the sections.
How you doing? Might make a quick cuppa in a mo.
Arghhhhh I can't - have no milk grrrr.

Well done Sea! One down, seven to go. Have you got any herbal tea?
I only spent five of those 20 minutes working - I went out to post an Amazon sale (£1.96 profit - yay!). Then I popped into the florist to ask if they had any damaged flowers that were going to be thrown out - this is for the flower arranging classes my kids have entered in tomorrow's flower show. To my great embarrassment the florist refused to give me broken flowers and gave me some of her valuable stock
Oops now I've spent another two minutes typing that so heads down, I'll do 20 mins actual work now. See ya later!Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620 -
Good news about the flowers - I would be tempted to bung them in a vase rather than send them with the children!
I hope they enjoy the classes and that the results of their efforts are prominantly and proudly displayedSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -

I will be popping out in a min to go to school and get some more examples of answers....
See you in about 40 mins for an update - we can do this!!!!!

Well done Sea, you're on a roll. I did a good 15 mins there but the website I'm editing is going *really* slowly so I popped on here...
No way - those flowers are going to the show! There are big cash prizes at stake. I think the winner gets 35p! As well as the glory of having his or her name in the parish magazine.
Just slightly worried they will be disqualified for including obvious exotics.
Right back to the grindstone. Time for one more check in before the forums close.Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620 -
Arghhhh - somehow I missed that the forum was closed and then used this an a little excuse
I have now updated, written up and completed the first 2 sections - so 25% done. Gosh, it's taking a long time! Do feel good about it though!
Got myself a sticker at school - stuck one on me and one on my friend - also sending you a virtual one - it's a red sticker that says IMPORTANT in white letters
