That is, indeed, a bit of good luck about the laptop and tthe phone :T Sorry that you have had to turn down work to help your friend, but as we all know, sometimes other things put the money stuff into perspective, and we have to move things about to accomodate that, short term at least.

Great news on what the universe is sending your way! Even the work you have to turn down - of course, what you and others are saying about perspective is right - sorry your friend is going through such a time.2023: the year I get to buy a car0

I just spent a most frustrating half hour paying a credit card bill.
I did it online and when I couldn't log in to the site I assumed I'd forgotten my security details so had to ring the helpline and reset everything. Half way through the process I realised I'd simply left Caps Lock on, but it was too late to go back. So now I have had to commit to memory a new set of passwords and security details.
Then I couldn't remember my 'Verified by Visa' password and had to reset that too. That's happened each time I used it.
What a tedious waste of half an hour.
Now I'm listing a couple of things on Ebay and I always find that time-consuming and tedious too.
On the upside I have just sold a book on Amazon for £25. One of OH's, which he has finally allowed me to list. There are lots more where that came from so I must try and list them asap.Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620 -
Now would you list a salad spinner in Colanders/Strainers or Other Kitchen Accessories?Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620

Sympathies on the caps lock and the passwords.... horrible feeling. The salad spinner - I have no earthly clue. Any already listed
?

I put it in Colanders/Strainers - I assume most people will use the search box rather than navigating through the sections anyway. And it's already got a watcher!
OH has given me carte blanche to list all his books on Amazon! Oh frabjous day! Annoyingly I have an urgent editing job so can't get started yet.Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620 -
Yay to all! I'm back into Amazon cos of Floxxie's challenge. I had 14 on there already, and one has just sold. Happy days.2023: the year I get to buy a car0

The two items I listed on Ebay last night have 8 watchers between them. This has inspired me to list two more tonight. And today I picked up a load of handbags from a Freecycler, three or four of which look quite classy and Ebayable. How can I tell if they are real Gucci and Guess bags or fakes? And do fakes sell well?
I might have my own little Ebay and Amazon challenge. I'm not going to sign up to Floxxies' as I don't have enough stuff to sustain this for long. But it would be good to bring in a few quid - partly to inspire OH as well. He has found some amazing retro cassette player gadget dumped by the recycling bins which I have a hunch could be an Ebay success.
But this is all a distraction from the fact I have only edited about a fifth of the long document I need to deliver tomorrow. It's going to be a long night.Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620 -
You could do the challenge anyway - get more from freecycle! Sorry to hear about the long night you've just been through tho - and I see your green light is on now - please tell me you're not *still* up, just up *again*.... hope you're okay with it all, anyway.2023: the year I get to buy a car0
