You can do it, just tell yourself - you have a way with words, after all! Seriously, hope its okay - I'm footling a lot till this afternoon, when I have v solid work between 1 and 6, feels like I'm going back to school. Wish I could help on the fake bags, by the way - I feel a google search coming on for you, I'm afraid.2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Hope it is all going OK this morning! I had a nightmare couple of weeks - first I took on more work than I should have done, then last week my OH took a week off work to decorate, but spent the first couple of days messing around and distracting me, then got ill and spent the rest of the week in bed. And on top of that, I was working at 11pm one night and the huge document I was working on got corrupted, so I had to redo a day's work plus trying to do eveything else I should have done and look after the house/kids with my OH ill. I just about met my deadlines on Monday, thank goodness, and today I'm trying to get motivation to start on the new stuff!0

green light off so you must be doing it....good luck.
tyllwyd..last week sounded awful for you and you still met your deadlines so well done.0 -
All done! Phew! Plus there's more work coming from that quarter this week.
Tyllwyd, you poor thing! I so sympathise! Well done for the superhuman effort to meet the deadline. That sounds a very familiar scenario and it does cheer me up to know I'm not the only one struggling with these things. GOOD LUCK with the new job, hope you're not too worn out to give it your best.
I'm off to the bank then need to spruce up my CV as I've been asked to pitch for some work. It's great to have the impetus to actually finish my CV, which I have been trying to get round to for some time now.Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620 -
Glad that the work is done - and not too late either!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0

I'm impressed you got that job finished - nearly - on time. Good luck with the pitch for the new work.
The job I'm working on today (or would be if my brain was co-operating) is just a bread and butter proofreading job, which is why I'm having trouble concentrating. I'm a bit disappointed that I had to turn down some work today, but I think I'll go completely mad if I try to keep on working at the rate I was.
I keep expecting the work to dry up with the credit crunch and all that, but I seem to be busier than ever. I guess the stuff that I'm looking at now was commissioned a year or so ago, so it is still coming through. And the companies I work for are all reasonably big, so hopefully they will be able to ride it out. You seem to be getting lots of stuff through - does it look OK for you at the moment?0
