Morning Seaxwyn...I think the renting a desk is a great idea.....and probably the right one for you as you get to be freelance and the hustle bustle and company. As for your OH I hope his bit of work leads on to other things.
Great that that book is being of use to you as well ...have a happy solstice day xx0 -
Morning! I like the sound of renting a desk. I've heard of sole traders doing that, exactly as you say, for the background and the company.
What about the solstice? Are you going to make your own little stonehenge in the back garden? That could be lovely!2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
I found my purse!!!!! In the back of one of the flower beds, real mystery how it got there. But I found it and it had £10 more in it than I remembered. Very happy, even though I have spent the £10 on a round of ice creams and another swimming trip, second of the weekend.Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620

Thanks everyone! After giving up the purse, the garden treated us to an explosion of passion flower blossoms. We have tended that plant for 3 years and this is the first time it's ever flowered.
I've worked out that after sitting on my a*se all month, I've got 8 days worth of work to complete in June. So I hope you won't be seeing too much of me on here in work hours! I must complete and bill for that work as all our bank accounts are up against their limits and we have various extra expenses to pay in July, including £60 for a school 'activity week' (grrrrrr) and my twin DDs' 14th birthday.Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620 -
I just did something MSE! My daughter gets free texts on her Orange PAYG phone... so I went into the Orange shop and asked why I don't. And it turns out I can! And so can anyone on the Orange PAYG standard tariff.
You just phone 343 and listen to the menu of tariffs. I chose' Dolphin' - this gives 300 free texts each time you top up (plus free mobile access to Facebook, I wouldn't know how to use that fortunately!)
There are various other tariffs, eg 15p calls to any network, cheap overseas calls etc. It really is that easy - just phone 343 and listen to the menu!
Right - back to work.Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620 -
