    Yay! Dolphins R us!

When I first posted my SOA eighteen months ago, the main thing that leapt out was the amount we were paying for life insurance. Numerous people suggested I get new quotes - and I delegated that task to OH and it got caught up in our stupid stalemate.

Finally, thanks to poster rubydoiwannabee (I may have spelt that wrong!) I just phoned lifesearch.co.uk for quotes - and after talking to a really helpful chap, we are taking out new policies which combined are £40/month cheaper AND better in numerous ways.

I feel really stupid that I took so long to do this - wasting £720 in the process - and glad that it's done now, we're £40/month better off, and the family's better protected too. Phew!

Excellent news on the life insurance........perhaps there are other things that could be improved on by way of an "audit"........I know that there are things in my "accounts" that have either crept back in .....or were never cut back as much as they could have been.

When my dining room is clear enough to sit at the table again, I will be sitting down and doing a full audit to see how much I can save moving forward........

Just need to get to the dining table first :rotfl:

I'm sure there are more things that could be cut back - time to go back to basics.

Work - not bad thanks. I've made some headway with a couple of projects today. I've pinned up schedules for various projects next to my computer and hope that will focus my mind to get them done. I also did some work on my CV ready to send out to that PR company... yes another thing I have let drift for months!

I'm feeling more positive right now, but my mood goes up and down like a yoyo. I've got some jobs at the moment which aren't too writing dominated so I hope I will find them easier to do. I had an exciting day today with a piece of work I did getting lots of press coverage (ok only local press coverage) so that was very validating.
