Great news on the press coverage makes it all worthwhile and shows you are good at the job.0

I'm planning to do a carboot sale this weekend and my mum offered to look out some stuff. So I called round expecting a few random bits and bobs, but she'd clearly decided to take the opportunity for a major clear-out and I've come home with several bulging bags. A lot of it I'm sure will sell - lots of good as new clothes in size 20 or 22, and I know from experience that larger clothes go like hot cakes. Also packs of underwear that she's never even opened, a brand new, still boxed posh salad spinner (that one's going on ebay), unused handbags (and one that must have been used as I found 20p in it. So I'm well chuffed.
There's even a pair of brand new M&S size 22 trousers - still with the tags on (price £15). I don't know how recently she bought it - can I take it back and get a refund? Or would they need the receipt? Anyone know?
So I'm keeping everything crossed for a sunny day on Sunday.Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620 -

Great news on the car bott stash Seax, I would definately give it a go taking those trousers back to M&S - the worst thing that can happen is they say no!'We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars' - Oscar Wilde0

Great stuff - some good things going on in your household! Hope Sunday is nice and sunny for you.2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Guess who was first in the door at M&S this morning. It turned out the trousers were old stock, so I got a £5 credit voucher. That's more than I'd have got at the carboot, so I am very pleased. Thanks Mum!
She has just rung to say she's coming here later. I wonder if she's found more treasures.
Weather is not looking good though! And we're not just crossing our fingers because of the carboot, we have a street party here tomorrow. Really hope rain doesn't spoil play for either event.Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620 -
Forgot to say - I also invested £1.29 in a bag of raisins so I can enter a competition to win a holiday to California. I would love to win, particularly as two good friends have recently moved to San Francisco.
So if anyone has any inspirations on how to finish 'California Raisins are perfect because.....' (in not more than 12 words) please share them! Or alternatively, go to Julian Graves and pick up a magazine. But entries have to be in on Monday.Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620
