Since I last posted on here, I have done an hour's billable work, and.... replied to an ad from someone looking to rehome four guinea pigs.

Oh dear. At least GPs are very very cheap to keep.

Hey well done on a productive start to the day. Not sure about the gp's. I hope the cat from hell wouldn't be able to get them:eek:  .

I will also modify your list Hypno as I need to phone various tradesmen today to get ovens cleaned, house cleaned, carpets cleaned (do you notice a general emphasis on cleaning!!!).

One of the problems with depression at least for me is that you don't see how untidy things are getting. I was looking for a party invite for tomorrow yesterday. It took me an hour, and made me tidy my desk:A .But the recyling box is now over half full of paper!!! Just off my desk:eek: . How bad is that. On the other hand the fact that I noticed perhaps means that despite every thing that is going on, I have gone up another step on my stair case to non depressiveness (is that even a word).

Good luck everyone with their tasks for today. Let's meet up later to see how we have got on. I suppose getting out of night things would be a good start.......

And no we are not insomniacs, we ARE addicted to MSE!!!

We are all rodent lovers in this household. We have one elderly guinea pig on her own as her sisters are died, she is very bored and lonely and I was thinking the 4 adoptees would be company for her. But I don't know if GPs can be successfully introduced to strangers. Probably I should just retract my kind offer to

And now I have found some rats needing rehoming nearby. DD2 is really keen to keep rats, and I used to have them long ago so know that they are lovely pets.

With luck the others will wake up soon and bring me back to my senses.

Sea, Rats are lovely! DD2 has been keen to get some for a while now. Only thing stopping me is that they need a large cage and I can't afford one.

lucielle, I am a bit insomniac. As I work at home, I usually get up at about 5 in the school holidays to have four clear hours before the children appear. Then I waste half that time on here or, today, browsing pet-related forums. That is extreme displacement activity.

Chev, I'm lucky not to have depression but my house is still a mess and I can well imagine spending an hour hunting for something. I hope you're right that you're coming out of the depression. I really hope that moving will be the start of a much brighter period for you.

Great idea to check on each other later so here's my immediate talk list - unless Hypno has other ideas for me of course:

    - shave my legs (essential if going swimming later!)
    - assemble a pile of ebayable stuff on the dining room table for OH to photograph when he gets up
    - chase up some bits of work and prepare for interview at 10.30-11

    And for later today:
    - take pic of myself and children running and make a Justgiving page for forthcoming sponsored event
    - deliver Green Party leaflets

That's it for now. Catch you later!
