Hi there Seax
Well done on the day a week work. That is fab news. With that and the pr work you should be pretty much sorted. That must be a great relief.
And reading your thread has reminded me that I really must go and hang out that second load of washing....

ps just to say that the oil leak dispute is now going to the financial obusdman service, sigh, so no end in sight yet to the dispute. Best of all we changed our mortgage from an old Portman one to a new Nationwide one. And that means that when it goes through our old building insurance with Axa automatically ends as it is connected to the mortgage:D . Oh I am so chuffing sad! NOTI want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?

Phew, finished that job in the end. What should have taken a few hours ended up stressing me out for days.
Anyway with that and another job finished today I can bill £1,000, which makes me feel a bit better about things.Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620 -
That's brilliant news, bet you feel so relieved now. These ups and downs are horrible as sometimes it just gets so depressing and then other days it feels so much better!

Excellent news!
"Displacement Activity" - Mizmir you are sooo right, and it affect so many of us! Surely we can get some sort of free professional help for it!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. I spent £128.19 yesterday  This included trainers for DD (an investment in her running career - and when she grows out of them I'll have them!), school uniform bits for DDs1&2, a haircut for DS, phone credit and something else - oh yes, deodorants all round at Boots.
The school uniform hurt as I normally buy it second hand or fish it out of the uncollected lost property at the end of term. But I realised DDs1&2 who are image conscious 13-year-olds have been looking mighty scruffy and really did need a non-holey jumper each. Also the official school PE kit as they compete in lots of inter-school events and have been wearing grubby Ecover-grey t-shirts several sizes too small.
I really need to get some income in. I've got £1,612 invoices outstanding and this is barely enough to cover standing orders. No word about the PR work yet unfortunately.
Today I have to sign off some proofs, do a half-hour phone interview, then I'm free and have promised to take DD3 and DS swimming with some of their friends.Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620 -
It seems like you got a lot for your money though - and if it is needed/can be handed down later, etc then it is not such a bad spend.
Now, a plan for the next few days for you.........
Today - invoice anything you have completed. Finish and invoice anything which you can complete in a couple of hours. Phone re PR job. Then spend the rest of the day with the children, take them swimming etc.
Weekend - family time, but have a brainstorm about what you are going to do on Monday to get more work in - who you will ring, old clients you can tap etc.
Monday - full steam ahead.....sit down with your diary, your phone, and your note pad and get earning - you know that the jobs WILL come in, you just have to make it known you are after the.
Enjoy the day with the children today.Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
