There are 23 years between me and my husband. Im 38 and he is 61. When we met and got together in 1992 i was 19 and he was 42.
Unfortunately there is nothing physical between us anymore partly due to his disabilities but we have a deep trust and respect for each other and although there is no sexual passion anymore i still love him just in a different way.

There is 8 years between me and my oh, I'm 36 and he is 28. I get called a cougar sometimes. Yes finally I am cool!

In all our years together, It has never once been an issue that there is an age difference, it doesn't ever occur and it certainly would not have put me off him the fact he was younger. He is the man of my dreams and I love him.
The opposite of what you know...is also true

My aunt married a man who was 17 years younger than her. It wasn't a problem at first, but the age gap did eventually finish the marriage. At the point that he was emotionally and financially ready to become a father she was already past the menopause. They also found that the age difference really began to show re: their hobbies and interests. But, they had 10 good years together and many married couples don't even make it that far.

My husband is 19 years younger than me - and we've been married over 14 years. Yes it can work, but like any relationship you both have to want it to.

When I was 21 I got with my OH- who was at the time 34. We're still together...age gaps don't matter, personalities do. I dated someone 18 years older than me, all sorts. As for not wanting the kids involved, well I suppose you don't want a string of women as step-mum per se, so I can see the logic in that.

When my husband was 33 I was 19, lol. And were very happy :)

But I get what you mean. What's her mental age tho (I'm ways being told I don't act like a 24 year old, more like a 40 year old)

I really do not think that age matters at all. It is just a number. If you fall for someone you love that person inside not how old their body is.
I am with a guy 17 years older than me and I love him so much and he's the one that I want forever. Age means nothing where real love is concerned. I think that as long as they are over the age of consent then it's all perfectly fine.

You are only as old as you feel. I've met some guys my age that bore me to sleep, but my partner is full of life and so funny and smart, only in his 40s so not old anyway.

What I've personally observed is that having an older woman/younger man scenario seems to shock people more than the older man younger woman.

The number of times I've been mistaken for his mother is legion :rotfl:

My first husband was 21 years older than myself and I considered myself to be the grown up in that relationship :D:D:D

Present hubby is 4 years older now it's me throwing the strops and stamping my feet when I can't get my own way :D:D:D
