We had an awful evening last night. Imogen got so upset at keep rolling over in bed she threw up all over me. Cue quick wash in the bath, fan on in her room and putting her flush up against the side of the cot she normally rolls over on to.

Finally she fell asleep after 30 mins of crying, 30 mins later she's awake and screaming - and promptly throws up all over hubby! We went through 3 sleepsuits, a sleeping bag, and an outfit each for me and Pete. She was so upset with herself, bless her.

Hubby's been off with her this morning and I'm having this afternoon off. She's not 100%, think it's her teeth. I'm taking her to clinic this pm and will chat with HV to try to get any ideas.

Keep your fingers crossed she picks up.

    How is Imogen now?

Hi girls, thanks for asking about Imogen. She's better today and has gone off to MIL's as usual.

She was up and down yesterday. Sometimes completely herself, other times a bit spaced out. At least she didn't seem in pain or upset. We took her to the supermarket, which she loves, and she had a nice time smiling at people and screaming!

HV didn't have any ideas about rolling over. Said it's just a phase she needs to go through and that if she's capable of rolling over, she's capable of rolling back. Bit dismissive really. Must have thought I was a neurotic parent - haven't seen this particular one before.

It does look like she's got a tooth coming at the top - HV agrees. It's a bit far back in her gum though, so we'll see what happens if/when it finally cuts through.

Thanks Vic/Moozikgal for the tip. She isn't waking when she rolls over. I looked in on her a few times last night and she was happily asleep on her front. I think it's been when she comes into that lighter sleep, realises she's uncomfy but can't move. She didn't wake at all last night - probably so knackered from night before. I'm hoping if she's going to roll over and sleep that way at least she'll get used to it and won't be so upset on waking. Keep your fingers crossed!

How are you Lu T? I hope you had a better night. I can sympathise with the vomiting sessions, once is never enough, it seems.

The only reason I'm capable of typing right now is that OH took Tom out of the bedroom at half 5 this morning because he'd only given me about an hour and a half of kip since half 7 last night - I thought babies needed loads of sleep!

It's a nice day so I think we're going to head out with the pram. I'm thinking of starting some sort of 'bedtime' routine tonight, if only just to give us something to cling to. I suspect at 2 weeks of age he's not going to be ready to follow it but we can try at least!

    Hey Eels

We started with a bedtime routine at 6 weeks and she took to it really well. I'd have done it sooner if I'd have known!

Good luck with that. We enjoyed putting her to bed upstairs and having a little time to ourselves just the two of us. We'd spent the last 6 weeks gazing at her in her moses basket on the floor while we watched tv!!

I found that taking her out in the pram for a walk every day around lunchtime helped her understand about day and night. Apparently there's something in sunlight which helps set the bodyclock. I was willing to try anything just in case!

I'm feeling fine thanks, if a little tired from not sleeping well 'cos I'm listening out for her.

Just off to bank a £40 cheque from our council as cashback for buying real nappies :money: :money:

Seems like a couple of nights off her routine and we're back to square 1!

I got in from Slimming World last night (trying to lose that last stone) to find Imogen downstairs with hubby. Apparently she'd had such a fit when he put her in bed (having turned down her milk) that he brought her downstairs.

Thus ensued another hour of me going up and down stairs with her. Eventually I took her into our room and lay on the bed with her in the dark to try to get her off. She'd had a bad belly and a dirty nappy, so must not have been feeling good. But then (little madam) she turned over and started playing! Blowing raspberries at me and trying to get her knees up under her with her face squashed into the duvet as if trying to crawl!!

So I took her off to bed and she was asleep after about 10 minutes of screaming, which gradually subsided to whimpering. Aaargh!

We were hoping to go out for a couple of hours tonight to see a band at our local, but that's looking increasingly unlikely if this rigmarole carries on. It'll only be the second time we've been out in 7.5 months!

She's at MIL's again today while I try to work, but then we're off with her for a fortnight so hopefully we can sort her routine again and get back to normality. I think her teeth hurting has just thrown everything, but it's a big shock when she's normally so good ;)

    Rant over, thanks for listening!

Lu- Hope your little madam is behaving. I'm sure kids know when you want to go out- must be psychic or something. They always play up. I hope that you get her back into routine.

My eldest is off to stay with her auntie and cousin tonight- so tomorrow will be a nightmare as her and her cousin always get up ridiculously early (like 4.30), then she takes a day or two to get back into routine. We've always tried to stick to routine even during holidays as otherwise we make a rod for our own backs.

Going to try to start hayden in routine from now. He has slept from feed at 7pm, until 12am for three nights, so fingers crossed that is him settling himself into routine. Will try to put him upstairs rather than downstairs tonight and will keep monitor on.

    Success!

Imogen went down without too many problems and we managed to get something to eat and be out at the pub by 7.45!

The band didn't start until 9.15pm so we didn't see much (home at 10.15pm) but it was a nice night out and a break from the norm.

I hope it's been a blip while she's teething and that we won't get any more which are quite as traumatic:rotfl:

Going to the park this afternoon with some mummy friends. Weather looks like it's going to be lovely. Hope you all have lovely days.

    Hi all,

I hope everyone is doing well. Nathan has been getting incresingly huggy and affectionate over the last few weeks. When i collect him from nursery every day he toddles over to me and lifts his hands up to be picked up and then will wrap his arms round my neck and go "ahhh". Also open mouthed kisses to everything, all of his toys get kisses, mummy gets kisses, friends get kisses, but not daddy! lol

Off this weekend to visit the grandparents so nathan can run around and chase chickens and feed the ponys!
