Just look at it as part of being a mum! I am sure many ladies will tell you that this is the best bit. I have no children yet, I am definitely going to give it a try. Although, in my family there is a history of not producing enough milk (my mum and aunt couldn't - I was fed another ladies milk, when I was a baby), I am still going to try!!!!!Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0 -
Yes, exactly that!
IT is no problem if you don't want to breastfeed. I strongly believe in everyone making the choice themselves (that means not boyfriends and husbands, however well meaning they are!) - but it mgiht be worth reading up on it, as the health benefits of breastfeeding are important, for mum as well as babybut it is up to you, and don't let anyone make you feel guilty for the choice that you make. I felt the same as you, before I was pregnant, and changed my mind. You might - but of course you might not either

Great attitude to have towards it, ginvzt
it's usually the case that a woman is certainly able to produce enough milk - but, it works on demand and supply, and sadly sometimes women are discouraged from frequent nursing, and it's this that stimulates the milk supply. The best way to get things going is to have lots and lots of skin-to-skin contact, and unrestricted access for baby to the boob - slings can help with this - and marathon nursing sessions in the evening - I remember being glued to the sofa from about 5pm to 10pm non-stop feeding... but it passes soooo quicklyand it's a lovely way for snuggles and cuddles with a tiny baby <broody> AND a brilliant excuse to eat chocolate
that's great that you were able to receive donated milk, though! There are some fab fab women out there. I get nowhere with a breast pump. The baby is pretty efficient though!0 -

Ooh, glad it's not just us then! Joseph is now extremely vocal in his unhappiness, throws things - you know it's serious when he chucks his dummy away. I've seen proper paddies and yesterday he bit my knee - this was a first and not terribly appreciated. Keeps you on your feet though - you can't reason with someone so young, and because they are so good at tantrums they get what they want pretty quickly - I give in to him all the time, I can only ignore so much!
I cannot imagine what the 'terrible twos' mean! It gets worse?:wall:0 -
