Hi my 11mth old is feeling a little warm and all attempts to take his temp with our ear thermometer are futile. Hes a bit off colour has been since last night but Im generally not too worried. If need be I will get him to doc tomorrow,
I was thinking of buying a bosieboo thermometer....has anyone used these?

I think the idea is they scan via infrared so you can take temp without touching child. Any other recommendations. We have the foreshead strip one and personally I find that its not that great as he hates that one too.0 -

Daniel is fine, 10 months old, crawling, standing all the time, waving, clapping, saying ta, dad dad, bye, hiya and a few other noises that we cant quite dechiper yet, completely heart breakingly gorgeous and he is totally in love with Upsy Daisy!
 Hiya, CG!
Long time no post. Where have you been?!
Glad all is well with Danny. And I hope you're feeling better too.

PS: I have Morhulin in stock and ready for action! By the time the chemist ordered it in the rash had gone! :laugh:0 -

I would reccommend it. They are slightly more expensive but non evasive although our one beeps while taking temp and you have to scan it round her temple and she always trys to turn and see what is beeping in her ear, bless her!!
Hope all babies are on the mend it just seems to be a bad time for them all at the mo.Everyone is entitled to their opinionEllie 25/12/070 -
Lol at Charlotte, so clever!
LuT, congrats, enjoy the practicing, hope it happens soon!
We had a good baby classic today - went to a lovely village fete and Joseph got to crawl around the field, play with hay and his own shadow . And of course I didn't notice till it was too late, even though I was feeding him at the time - a massive lump of soil in his mouth. Yum. Even better - it was one of those lumps created by earthworms, so goodness knows what he's ingested.:wall:0 -

oh lord help me. i've just put my LO down to sleep and as ever before he goes to sleep he is squealing the house down - this is basically EVERY time he goes to sleep. I usually end up putting him on the boob for a quick feed and comfort but I don't want to keep doing this its a bad habit I've got into and I don't know what to do. He cries and cries and cries maybe up to half an hour or more before he finally gives in and goes to sleep. Even during the day before his naps he does this, his eyes will be red and he'll be really grouchy and I know he's tired but he just won't go over without a fight every time. Its really getting me down. I feel so bad listening to him cry, but it makes little difference even if I pick him up he still cries so I'm sitting here typing this and he's crying so hard his throat is bound to be sore. I don't know what to do to get him to go to sleep without this every time and without me having to put him on the boob. And when he does eventually cry himself to sleep i feel so bad and I'm so worried about him in case there was something wrong. But rationally I know theres not and that he just dosent want to sleep. Aaaarrrgh! Any suggestions anyone of something that will help this little man sleep without screaming the house down first? i'm starting to think I'm diong something really wrong.DON'T WORRY BE HAPPY

nadnad, you poor thing. It's okay to let him fall asleep on the boob
don't worry
he is still little and it is soooo much comfort to him, of course he wants it. they're born to nurse, really.

Aww nadnad, it is horrible listening to them cry.
I agree with DD, there is nothing wrong with letting him fall asleep when nursing, not at this age anyway. What I found with my two was they'd fall asleep feeding, then wake up a bit when I carried them to their cots, so they still went to bed awake.
They do get used to their routines eventually so just keep doing the same thing every night - whatever you do - and he will get used to it.0 -
