My ovary ultrasound was clear btw, yey! Although I wanted to smack the sonographer as she kept asking me what I had an ultrasound for if I have no pain or symptoms. Never heard of prevention? Screening? Grrr.
Glad all is well, bet that is one weight off ur mind

Pleased everyone is feeling better.
Got the toy boxes out here and Charlotte is ignoring them as she's happy with a set of wooden coasters. She keeps tipping them out of the pot and then putting them back in againHere I go again on my own....0 -

We've got that "toy" here too, even DD1 enjoys playing biscuit making with them
Perhaps toysrus should consider selling them!0 -
Morning all
Just quick question.. off to Disneyland Paris next week for a few days and wondered if any of you have been there. LO still has about 4 bottles a day and can't decide whether to take powdered formula or take cartons (not very MSE I know).
Will make use of Milton tablets and box for sterilising and fod is no problem as LO eats anything....just the milk to sort.... any preference?Mum to 2 lovely boys who keep me busy.0 -
Mazcabs - I went there but without baby, so can't be of much help. But I can tell you that the hotels, if that's where you're staying, seemed to be very child-oriented, so they must be helpful when it comes to babies. Hmmm, I'd take the cartons, much easier without the worry of using tap/bottled water/boiling etc. It's only a few days... Also everywhere is close by - the hotels, the park, the train, the buses, so not far to carry the load! In the park itself, if they didn't charge you stupendous prices for hot water, you'd still have to queue for hours to get any help. It gets busy.:wall:0

Thanks Agutka, think we will go with cartons just cos it will be so much easier. Got some vouchers through the RM postal survey that I do so that pays for cartons from Boots.
We are staying in the Sequoia Lodge with my mum, dad, sis, BIL and their kids.
Oh yeah another question (sorry)... does anyone else LO turn themselves around in their cot. Henry always manages to turn himself 90 degrees and then gets stuck against the side of the cot waking himself up? Any solutions welcome......
OMG just had phone call from Henry's nursery to say that they think he may have chicken pox and we are going away next thursday (24th) Mass panic !!!!Mum to 2 lovely boys who keep me busy.0 -
went to doctors yesterday because i have a lump on my boob for a week now, was pretty sure it was a blocked milk duct but was getting worried. Doctor confirmed that it was and that i have a temperature and she was surprised that i wasn't sick. she says its really high up - near my armpit, and quite swollen so shes put me on strong antibiotics which i don't like taking but i will nevertheless. Does anyone have any other tips to help get rid of it?DON'T WORRY BE HAPPY

nadnad i had a blocked duct about 8 weeks ago with my little one. You are supposed to try feeding them in a different position to unblock it, but i didn't find that overly helpful to be honest as my LO was only 2 weeks old and his suck wasn't powerful enough.
I had to have a warm bath and submerge the affected area, and then express. I also fed him from that side first every time, and then the most effective bit was about 30 mins after feeding i used a bit of baby oil to massage the area as i could be a bit rougher, and then expressed as i was doing it. As i had baby oil on my breast pump though, i discarded the milk that came out. It took over a week to go, and then my boob was tender for a couple of weeks after that.
We've all been suffering with colds here and it has left me really shattered. I am trying to get in a bit more of a routine as i seem to have one boy awake all the time and it would be loads better for me if i could get both to sleep at the same time.Sam now goes to bed about 9ish, and sleeps sometimes till 4, so we are heading towards a routine. Shame i then have to do the essential housework before collapsing in bed.
Is it around 4-5 months ish that things settle down? I've been trying to remember when i was more than coping with DS1, and i know it will take a bit longer with having two of them this time, but i am getting to that desperate for a bit of me time/sleep stage. DH hasn't been much use recently as he has been working silly hours and away with work last weekend when he would have been able to let me have a sleep in.
Shouldn't moan really as i know so many people have worse than me. Always easier to face the day when less tired though isn't it.0
