  • Oh forgot I have fed Charlie in the car, so that counts as in public! Once we were on our way home from visiting the family and he got hungry so i slid over into the middle seat of the car and fed him whilst hubby was still driving, thats effective use of time!!

The other time we were going to the NEC with the In-laws, met up at a services nearby so I thought I'd top Charlie up with some milk, FIL comes up to us in the car and started chatting away and then realised what I was doing and kept apologising, I was all discret so it wasn't a problem. Suppose some people need time to be comfortable with seeing you feed. But the more of us that fed in public the more normal it'll feel for everyone else and then the more comfortable we'll be about doing it.

Grrr, does anyone else watch neighbours? The whole Carmella baby storyline has me all annoyed - the girl had a section and not once have I seen her wince or walk funny - she was up and about (standing around) within hours and now she's at home doing housework! And the only thing on her mind is her boyfriend. I remember barely looking human, waddling for months, brain the size of a pea and doing nothing in case my insides fell out! :D

PS sorry I'm not bringing up any more serious matters but I'm trying to keep my mind off the fact that I have ever so slightly failed to go to the monday morning buggyfit session AGAIN. And after I promised myself!

I've already breastfed in public even though Iris is only 10 days old - when she wants dinner she wants it NOW lol, tried waiting till we got home but she went mental in the pushchair so I had to stop and feed on a park bench. Blanket provided decent coverage though.

Am already feeling like a neurotic mum as I am taking Iris to the doc today. She seems to be gagging on something for the last day or so. I'm sure it's just mucus or something but it still sounds quite alarming and i'm paranoid about it interfering with her breathing.

I'm sure the doc will roll his eyes at yet another new mum worrying about nothing. :o

Well, I suppose so, but not by me, so cost involved if I get them repaired. I think they'll have to stay broken in the jewellery box until we've got some money going spare..... maybe 2028 then, when do kids leave home these days :rotfl:

I'm having difficulty getting motivated to do exercise too - I'm hoping that as the weather warms up, I will feel more inclined to go out for walks etc. I've just started doing Slimming World and it's going quite well, but I really need to tone up too.

Hi all, well survived the weekend with MIL and her hubby visiting ( no only joking, we get on really well)

have started LO on solids, just purees and baby rice as nursery have suggested that he is ready. Last night he had carrot and sweettcorn and loved it and as you can imagine it went everywhere..I put the bib/top etc in soak overnight and have washed it this morning on 30 deg with fairy and stain remover but its still there, albeit faded... any suggestions.. he's moving on to next size of clothes so not too bothered about old ones but want to be prepared for next lot of stains..

Also he has a few little tiny spots, but only on his tummy...suppose it could be heat rash as very warm here over the weekend?
Mum to 2 lovely boys who keep me busy.

I stopped watching just after she got pregnant but I remember being really narked off by Sky's pregnancy which initially was in time with mine but then at the 13 week scan they showed a 13 week baby scan on the monitor and said it was eight weeks (I had scans at 7 and 11 weeks and there's a huge difference) and then she was born at about six months and then they changed their minds and said that she was actually full term. They also scanned above her belly button before she was showing and her tummy went back to normal within a week of giving birth.

  • JoJo - I wouldn't worry I've already had Ruby to the dr's for the same thing she was really snuffly and was grunting and gagging when I fed her - He said its a normal baby reflex when they produce a bit too much mucas and its there way of getting rid of it... felt a bit neurotic but he didnt seem to mind:rotfl:Hope Iris gets on ok:p

Aaarggghh - posted this once already but the internet genie lost it!

Just tell those idiots that BF protects you against breast cancer and protects LO against obesity - according to today's paper. That'll show em.

Mazcabs - we use long-sleeved bibs from Mothercare. Bought 2 a year ago and they are still going strong. They are better in the neck than cheaper versions - say from Ethel Austin - Imogen drops food down her front wearing the ones from Ethels. HTH
