  • My brother and I were 8 days different 1 year apart - there was no way we would have agreed to a joint party. Mum's mistake was actually trying to convince us, rather than just doing it...lol.

  • Oh well, it had to come sometime I guess, my first period of 2007! (sorry if TMI :D). Funnily enough its exactly 12 months since my last one!

My fellow preg buddies will know that I was desperate not to have my baby on my birthday and she kindly obliged by arriving 3 days later . I really didn't want her to share her special day with anyone else :o.

    And my DH! :rotfl:

Everyone in my and DH's family have winter/spring birthdays: December - April. My two boys are July and August, and I love that, as we can have parties in the garden or barbecues, and like someone mentioned, it's nice for them to get pressies halfway through the year, about 6 months before/after Christmas :T

I've shared this before, but that's why we've given Imogen a 'half-day' on 26 June. Her b'day is Boxing Day, bless her, so we've asked for only cards on the day and pressies in June. Most people seem to be obliging. When she's older she can choose for herself whether to have her 'half-day' or not, we're just keen she doesn't get only one present as a joint Xmas and b'day as that'd be mean. My b'day is June so I'm used to summer parties and only waiting six months between pressies.

Oooh, forgot to say re fat club. I'd stayed the same after 5 days at Centre Parcs (hurrah!) and have gone on a special week called Fast Forward. It's pretty tight on what you can eat, although I'm not hungry. It's mainly vegetables with some meat and carbs thrown in. I've lost 2lb in 2 days, woohoo!! Am going to get that stone off before Xmas if it kills me...

Well done Lu! I'm finding losing weight really difficult now, I'm having to do LOADS of walking to lose any more. I'm playing 'flying baby' with Natasha a lot too, to try and tone my arms, but it's getting harder now she's getting bigger. :)

  • Well done Lu - lots of will power from you for this time of year. My head seems to be constantly thinking about mince pies, but no harm done i guess as it doesn't matter if some goes on.

In fact, i had best be regaining some of the 9 pound lost since falling pregnant.

I know what you mean snaggles about it getting hard to lift them. Charlie is around the 24 and a 1/2 pound mark now, and thankfully he walks most of the time, but when i do need to carry him i certainly know about it. I am dreading things like getting him out of the cot as i get bigger. It doesn't help that when i say things like ' stand up for mummy' he hasn't got a clue what i mean. hopefully in another couple of months it will be different.

Hope you are all having a lovely weekend ladies with your families.

    Michelle, x

Charlotte loves "flying baby" too. I was in a car accident a couple of years ago and hurt the muscles that cover the back of your shoulder blades and bottom of your neck. I keep getting pain again in them, and hubby keeps telling me to stop playing flying babies, but she loves it so much that I keep doing it :o

We also get the space rocket upstairs. I stand at the bottom of the stairs holding her round her chest with her head pointing up the stairs. I shake her gently and do a countdown, then on blast off, I take off up the stairs at top speed making rocket noises, then lift her right up in the air at the top. She giggles her head off when I do that, but that doesn't do anything for my shoulders either :o

Well done on the weight loss Lu :T
Here I go again on my own....
