Thanks for that girls, thought it might just be from constant steam sterilising and sounds like that could be the problem.. going to get some more bottles anyway today as seem to be continually washing them.

Henry seems to be playing with his feet more aswell and also seems to have discovered he has a tongue as is sticking it out more now.

Definately the right choice to change from breastfeeding to formula. Had Henry weighed at the clinic on Wednesday and in two weeks has gone from 7lb 15oz to 9lb 10oz since the change of food and HV also suggested giving him 5oz each feed (must take after his dad for drinking !!)
Mum to 2 lovely boys who keep me busy.

i got my periods back when i was bf:mad: i was most upset i cried! i got them back 3 months post partum and bf for a further 4 months and had a period every month after that 1st one

    Poor you!

I breastfed for about 9 months with my eldest. My periods only came back when he was nearly 8 months and I dropped the daytime feeding because I was back at work.

I'm hoping that it might be a bit longer this time around as I won't be going back to work until my baby's nearly one.

Ben's come down with his first ever cold today. He's been in his cot since about 5.30pm as he was absolutely shattered and couildn't even wait for his bath, poor thing. He looks really sorry for himself! :o

Wow, it will make this an expensive time of year for you, but at least it will be all over with at once. And as they get older, they could maybe have joint parties, which will cut down on the expense!

I'm not sure if it would be good or bad having birthdays close together. I can see both good points and bad points.

My boys birthdays are 27th Nov and 2nd Feb, which is too near Christmas - lol. Could have been worse as my son born in November was due on the 20th December! That would have been far too near Christmas.

When I was little I used to love having an August birthday. I figured it was an even split between Christmas, Easter and my birthday, so I only had a little while to look forward to goodies :rotfl:
Here I go again on my own....
  • where does the time go?
Daniel is one month old today....

he was weighed on thursday and had put on weight again,
from 8lb 1 1/2 back up to 8lb 8 (he had just been fed though) but thats still a massive improvement,
and he really has discovered his appetite now... i wouldnt be surprised if he turns onto a right chubber! :D
going to have to take him to the docs on monday though to get something for his bum, its really sore...poor boy
we change him regularly and now always use cotton wool and water instead of the wipes (which we think made it a lot worse) but because he poos in every nappy he is almost always sat in something,
using vasaline on him at the mo as its not as harsh as sudocrem and we are on the look out for nappy liners, so we can whip out the first lot of poop quickly without having to use up all our nappies!

does anyone know where i can get a 'snorting' George from Peppa pig?
when Danny is hungry/angry he snorts just like George and its the cutest noise! ive looked on ebay but wondered if you lovely girls knew anywhere cheaper?
  • I knew someone who shared a birthday with her brother. She was still miffed about having her 5th birthday party cancelled because her brother was born.

Quite right too - how thoughtless of her brother - typical man! :rotfl:
