  • Thanks for the replies about teats. I quizzed my husband about what the teat goes like when she's feeding and how long it's been doing it (he does the bottle feed) and it turns out he can't remember when the teat wasn't collapsing. I shall be popping over the road tomorrow to get some fast flow teats.

Bad parent alert! Baby's just had his first fall of the sofa! :o

Think it just shocked him as he's gone straight back off to sleep now. :o

Oops Jo! :D No falling off sofas for us (yet) but I did drop a book on Alex's head the other day. :o It was a paperback. :rotfl: (I use the mega long bedtime feed to catch up on my reading :D)

Just noticed - are you not a BG anymore?

Anyway, baby had his first 6-hour stretch of sleep last night. :T :j Here's hoping it wasn't a one-off. :p

I still BG on the eBay board but I tend to switch my signature off when I post on other boards so I don't confuse people!

Lucky you! Ben's not too bad at night but he still does a poo after his night feed so I have to get up and change him which kills me! :o

and I thought I was bad for accidentally bumping Charlotte's head off the doorframe :o

She had pureed beef in Guinness with veg for tea tonight and I couldn't shovel it in quick enough :D
Here I go again on my own....
  • I managed to bash Alice's head on a door handle the first day OH was back at work. I always have to tell him about these things as otherwise I spend all my time thinking about the fact that I haven't told him.
  • I have to tell DH when i've hurt charlie too.

I had a oh-oh moment yesterday. I picked charlie up from nursery and noticed he was using a baby bouncer to stand up with, and then he stood there bouncing it as hard as he could. Thankfully it didn't have a baby in, but it makes me think i had best never leave him alone once the new baby arrives in case it ends up with shaken brain.

I've been off work most of this week with bad morning sickness. Someone on another thread suggested twins, which i seriously hope not. I guess we will find out tomorrow at the scan.

My DH has been an absolute star - he has been getting up with charlie and dressing him, giving him a bottle and dropping him off at nursery (a 45-60 minute journey out of his way) so that i have been able to sleep and catch up on my rest in the hope i will be fully functional again soon. All i've had to do is pick Charlie up at normal time and do bath and bedtime. DH then gets in about 6:30-7ish, and if early enough will put Charlie to bed. Then he has been cooking our evening meal, and doing all the washing up and stuff. I feel really bad about this as he is wearing himself out doing it, but hopefully i will feel better for the rest.

Anyway, sounds like we are all ok apart from Izzy and her conjunctivitis which hopefully will clear up soon.

Any exciting plans this weekend? We are at a friends little girls 1st birthday party, and then the weekend after that it is charlie's, I dare say we may have a takeaway tomorrow night to celebrate if the scan goes well, or i may feel up to making something nice.
