DS is two days younger than Imogen Lu T.
He has completely ignored it when it's been on him. It is meant for when they are awake, and the instructions say that to take it off if the child is pulling at it. (Which is why I got one with a money back guarantee).
I hope it helps your babies too.
<Edited to say he is actually 5 days younger than Imogen -d'oh!>The IVF worked;DS born 2006.0 -
A bit of a stupid question, but is it okay to take a baby to a hairdressers? I'm desperate for a haircut and don't have anyone who could babysit during the day...
If he was in his car seat or buggy, and asleep, would they mind? And he'd be okay with all that hair spray and funny stuff in the air, right?0 -
She was on my knee while I was eating my tea last night and she dipped her hand into my chicken schezwan. She licked her fingers and got a shock with that sauce as it's got chilli in it, but then she wanted more
:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
I think I am going to wean her, thanks everyone who has given opinions/advice.
I was reading a book today and it said don't delay weaning beyond 6 months because learning to chew etc helps with learning to speak (the book put it much better than that but my pregnancy-mashed brain still hasn't quite recovered  ), and if you leave weaning too long, it can cause problems with the development of speech.
So....you can't wean until 6 months....and you shouldn't leave it longer than 6 months.....hmmmmm, doesn't leave a huge window of opportunity!!
I've bought some baby rice and some carrots, not quite sure when I'm going to start yet, but I'm ready.....I think...:o"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -

I took DS a couple of months ago - it was just for a trim, so the hairdressers fought over him whilst I was having my hair cut...lol. If it's one you go to regularly just ring them beforehand and ask what the normal procedure is?The IVF worked;DS born 2006.0 -

Have you considered looking for a mobile hairdresser who could come to your home? I did that when DD1 was first born as I was desperate. It certainly makes life easier, especially if you can time it to coincide with naptime!0 -

Re: the hairdressers, to complicate the matter further it's a freebie haircut from Herbal Essences :money:, so it's a new salon to me and I have to use that particular one. Guess I'll just phone them and beg.
I have been thinking about mobile hairdressers for the future, though. :T0 -
A bit of information that may help those of you with hungry babies like my little monster. Charlie was waking up nearly every 2 hours during the night, having a feed, change etc and then putting back to sleep (say goodbye to an hour!) and then awake for more an hour later. It was killing me and my Nan suggested feeding him some crushed rusk with milk before bed to keep his stomach filled longer. It worked!! The last 4 nights we've had about 4 to 5 hours straight, then a milk feed and he'll sleep for another 4ish. He's only 6weeks old but already has a fit if I stop feeding him his rusk before he thinks I should!! Nan was told this when she had my auntie 40 odd years ago by a midwife and it's been passed down through the family and not done us any harm!!
Hope it helps someone else as well. p.s I'm doing about half a rusk each day:heart2: Charlie born Aug 2007 :heart2: Reece born May 2009
